My NL provider has initiated payment to Tesla as soon as the delivery date was fixed. Must say, FleetPartners have been quite responsive and on the ball so far. Hopefully in two days the payment status will show as complete on Tesla account.

I think this is true for Melbourne at least. The two DCs (one newly opened) aren't enough apparently. The port is full of cars, they can't deliver them sooner. I guess with legacy brands, they can ship to the numerous dealers to hold them in their yard, but with Tesla, they've not been able to...

thats normally true, but, as someone pointed out, come Juniper, legacy models will see lose value, regardless of MY23/MY24. Maybe the odo reading will be the only thing that would matter.

Congratulations mate, yeah curious how sure were you regarding the inventory car. Were you told before hand that the car was already on shore, as opposed to one that is still sailing towards us?

Did they say they missed loading your car onto that ship? Or maybe the car is just held up at PK docks?

I asked Tesla, they said I should expect delivery scheduling SMS to arrive in a few days (car came on LA, Mt Waverley DC), and the car should arrive to DC early March. My NL provider said all paperwork is ready, and they need to know the delivery date before triggering the payment.

Tesla have committed to self driving paradigm. I feel they get the confidence to remove stalks because they know eventually the indicating and canceling of turn signals can be achieved and perfected through Tesla vision. The other manufacturers aren’t yet sold on self driving. As such they...

Yeah, still can't see the VIN in the app. However, the Vin finder Chrome extension on the browser says VIN is present. So I'm not worried. Yes, DC is Mulgrave

I finally got the "Your Model Y has arrived in Australia, delivery approaching" SMS. It also said they will notify me to schedule a window "as soon as the vehicle is prepared and ready for delivery".

Those rims look fantastic. I wish my Model Y came with good looking rims, instead of the wheel cover

When did you place your order? I guess all ex-GC bug cars are all considered "inventory" cars, and hence are marked MY23 on Tesla inventory? Regarding Tesla disclosing stinkbug cars, as a customer I would like that, but I guess from Tesla's point of view, the cars themselves aren't compromised...

waiting for that magic email. I SMS'd Tesla but they came back with a generic comment about port congestion, and that your EDD is the most accurate estimate, etc. However, are people still getting that email that says "Your Tesla has arrived in Australia", as mentioned in the pinned thread?

My EDD pushed out from 15/2 - 7/3 to 28/2 - 20/3. LA has departed MEL after dropping cars. So hopefully the wait shouldn’t be much longer

In addition to what you've said @evsRsuper , what I could make out from their spreadhsheet was that there are two companies that load/unload cars - Qube and Linx, are assigned to the shipping companies, and it seems like these stevedores can work on only 1 of their assigned ships at a time...
