What other tech stock to consider?

Pretty much. Don't know about trillion, but I guess it's possible. It's my second largest holding behind Tesla for these reasons and more.

    Sentiment: summer 2020 @ $1000

Accumulate. I'm saving "Buy a crapton more" for if/when the overall market corrects again. If that doesn't happen I'll just keep accumulating here and there.

    jbcarioca thoughts on investment management

Very interested to hear jbcariocas thoughts on holding a concentrated position in Tesla right about now. I remain fully invested and picked up a little more on today's dip.

    10x Stocks

Square, Pinterest: 5-10X. Alteryx: 3-5X. Particularly from the recent lows. I'm sure there are other cos with much higher potential returns - in genetics perhaps (NVTA, EDIT/CRSP/NTLA) - But you take on a little more risk, I think.

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Are these Solar Roof quotes legit? It's showing a 3000 sq ft, 2 story house at $30k ($25k after incentives). If so, this is an absolute game-changer. Last quote I got for solar roof was ~$60-80k, if I'm remembering correctly. I don't think I could put a new 30 year composite roof on for less...

M3 Owners: Would you buy another Model 3 today?

Yep. Coming up on a year, no issues, still amazing... Best car ever.

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

That would be the way to go - Allowing the man to speak for himself in his own words. I knew he was basically a crook who used his show combined with Thestreet.com aka "thescum.com" as it was known (and associated outlets) for years to pull this crap, but I'd never seen the video where he...

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Curious - Is it normal for a journalist to be heckling a guy on his LinkedIn announcement to colleagues that he's stepping away from Tesla? Maybe I'm not well-versed in LinkedIn etiquette, but this seems a little personal.

You can tell it's real because the guy is super distraught that it fell over. Luckily it sustained no damage whatsoever.

Sandy Munro talks about the teardown of the Model 3

What strikes me most about this video is that Sandy is sounding more and more like a Tesla "fanboy" every day. The fit/finish and frame will get sorted out where necessary. In basically every other area, he confirms they are mopping the floors with the competition and breaking further away...

What other tech stock to consider?

I believe the rumors of Facebook's demise are more than likely over exaggerated.

What other tech stock to consider?

Facebook looking interesting at these levels. Amazon.... What are folks seeing as cheap right now in tech, if anything? Horizon: LONGGG. I'll check out SPWR.

    Model 3 Reliability/Issues?

3 months of ownership, no issues beyond very minor cosmetic. Feels very solid to me.

TSLA Market Action: 2018 Investor Roundtable

But Spiegel, 57, and many others are still not ready to back down. “I am very patient,” he said. Patience is easy to come by when you're a trust-funder masquerading as a hedge fund manager.

Display stays in drive view under 5mph

While in drive under 5mph, my display is no longer switching to the overhead view showing distance to objects. It still shows in reverse, but doesn't chime when objects are close. As the problem seems to correspond with the kids banging on atari and santa mode, I thought it might be a setting...

TSLA Market Action: 2018 Investor Roundtable

Wow "Citron Research" is embarrassing. I basically don't know anything and I could come up with a better research paper on Tesla (Substance + Style) in about 3 hours. Must be nice - slap this piece of crap together, confirm you're going on cnbc and then buy some calls.

    AWD delivery thread

Took delivery today in Bellevue, WA (Non-P AWD, black on black, 19's, no EAP). Delivery went smoothly and the car is pretty much perfect aside from a couple of very minor cosmetic issues and a possibly non-functioning tpms (Noticed later that none of the tires show pressure rating in the UI)...

I just realized I am trading in a car worth $243 for a Tesla worth $124,000.

I just realized I am trading in a car worth $243 for a Tesla worth $124,000.

I'm going from a hail-damaged, salvage '97 Camry that was totaled in 2010 ("you sound like a real attractive guy"), to $55k Model 3.

TSLA Market Action: 2018 Investor Roundtable

    General Discussion: 2018 Investor Roundtable

This seems to be the common thread... That Musk is predominantly just an idea man (visionary, futurologist, etc) and huckster (great at marketing), when that's clearly the least of which sets him apart from the field. I have big ideas and visions and am pretty good at bullshitting people, so...

    The TESLAQUILA thread

Hopefully it's something decent and available in large quantities. My guess is they'll open it up and sell a million bottles in short order if they want. I'm cool with the name and label.

TSLA Market Action: 2018 Investor Roundtable

Even if the market gets tight for issuance of debt / equity, I would not underestimate Elon's ability to pull off some creative, reasonably-priced financing backed by a portion of his own stake in the company in order to see Tesla over the hump. "I'm going down with the ship."

What other tech stock to consider?

Intrexon (XON) has some pretty impressive potential, I think. Been holding some from the 30's that I took a bath on and recently acquired some more in the 13's and 14's. Had a decent pop today, for once. Anyone else in it?

TSLA Market Action: 2018 Investor Roundtable

More analysts seem focused on Transportation as a Service as the key differentiator of why Tesla is not like other car companies. While I have high hopes for it, that is basically fantasyland stuff right now. Meanwhile, it's becoming clear the energy business is likely the real near-term...

    2017 Investor Roundtable:General Discussion

Coupled with the near-term uncertainty, any correction in the overall market could make for some legendary buying opportunities in the next 3-6 months. The nasdaq chart looks pretty ambitious. As for the moonshot division, I found this statement pretty interesting: "We plan to continue...

    Short-Term TSLA Price Movements - 2016

    Short-Term TSLA Price Movements - 2016

In the last day alone he has angrily tweeted about tesla approx. 20 times to no audience. If I were Musk I'd look into getting an extra bodyguard or two.
