Floor mats on new AP 2.0 Teslas

A couple additional points from personal experience: ToughPRO pluses Fit well Look so/so IMO: they don't look terrible and do the job relatively inexpensive ToughPRO minuses Stunk up the car for over a month! (included air freshener did little to help cover up the heavy chemical odor) Look...

Not sure about all that but the minimum mileage is definitely going up!

    Unveiling on Oct 17th

Wait, what if the windshield goes "live" on all Model S/X vehicles with 8.1 SW (HW installed just dormant) - could explain the double vision / ghosting no-fix! That would be super awesome ..but likely just wishful thinking on my part.

    First Model X with 8.0

Thanks for the info. I take mine in on 11/1. Hope they can address the misalignment without too much disassembly. I find maintenance a slippery slope and avoid it as much as possible - that includes the dentist as well ;)

Wonder if this has anything to do with the delayed roll out to Model X owners.

    Free trial offer for autopilot

Interesting. So this is an up-sell? I assume that those who are getting this message did not buy the autopilot convenience package, yet their cars were HW equipped for future purchase via SW enable?

My Tesla App ("My Tesla Could Not Be Reached At This Time")

I have the same issue at the moment. Worked this morning when I checked up on my car which is at a detailer, but no longer reachable this afternoon. Selfishly, the fact that others are encountering this issue at this time makes me feel a bit better as I was starting to think the detailer was...

    First Model X with 8.0

What type of spoiler repair are you having done, if you don't mind me asking? I scheduled an appointment to have my spoiler alignment issues looked at. Mine sticks up on one side, dips down on the other, and comes close to rubbing on the back edge when being stowed (gap disproportionate from...

    Recent Model X build quality

Has anyone had spoiler alignment issues addressed? Mine dips on one side and sticks up on the other when stowed. Wondering if it's a big job to adjust. The issue is noticeable enough to bother me, but not sure if I want it fixed if it means a lot of disassembly work. Things tend to never go...

Additional USB Port in 3rd Row Seat Area

I just noticed that there is an additional USB port in the 3rd row seat area. It is a bit hidden so not sure if everyone knows that it exists. There is a small slot integrated into the front-bottom portion of the plastic cupholder housing between the two seats (sorry no pic). I plugged in a...

Mirror Auto Tilt/Swing in Reverse is Adjustable!

Wanted to share my discovery is case others did not know this adjustment existed. I was frustrated with how far my passenger side mirror swung out and did not tilt down nearly enough while parking in reverse to be useful. It dawned on me yesterday to try adjusting it while the car was in...

"Ghost Car" problem with auto-pilot. Anybody else?

Just a thought ..wondering if the chrome bumper (rounded corner?) on the van to the right has anything to do with it. Mirrored-Image/Reflection/Magnification maybe? Would be good to know if this is a constant the next time it happens.

When should I expect East Coast delivery? My X entered production 2 days ago...

Combination of both. Mine is taking 15 days. Cars do go through hubs first, as Andrew points out, but it seems like the frequency of deliveries to hubs has gone up with increased production-rate and orders, so I suspect they do better than 4wks these days. In other words, the built cars don't...

Too much fun with driving Model X...huge curb wreck

I think the OP meant front left rim. Looks like the car was a little too close to the narrow median curb on driver's side. Would be nice to see what the rim looks like though.

Ludicrous Option No Longer Available on P90D

Looks like new buyers have to opt for P100DL to get Ludicrous. In fact it comes standard on the P100D and no longer offered on the P90D. Am I missing something?

Another Model X crash, driver says autopilot was engaged

The steering wheel does not have "touch" sensors per say. The steering wheel control system detects slight resistance against it's directed control. In other words, if you just turn the wheel slightly while the system is trying to keep it straight, or vise versa - if it's trying to turn...

Using Your Voice to Send "Note" and "Report" To Tesla About Your X from Driver's Seat!

Mind blown! Great find! This is just another reason why I love TM so much. Why are SCs not publicizing this?? Talk about not taking advantage of a tight feedback loop! Can't wait to send some reports ..already have 3 in mind :)

Crunch! Falcon Wing Doors fail to sense obstacle

Hmm, still waiting for my update availability notification. Pretty sure the double press unlock & auto-open front door (if option set) came in a previous release as I already have that. will check my version later today.

Charge Port not Opening on Cable Button Press

No luck getting it to work on my SigX (worked perfectly on the loaner X 90D) - so I'm fairly convinced that initial builds did not have the required HW installed. I don't have another Tesla (yet), but I do see why having it work could be problematic. Incidentally (slightly off topic) - I...

Charge Port not Opening on Cable Button Press

Right. I used the button successfully on the loaner X 90D last week. It does not seem to work on my SigX P90D. Trying to understand if this is a Signature HW version issue in general or a problem with my car. It appears that both Xs had the latest SW which enabled this feature in the last...

Same here. So far so good, but really dislike how it looks from outside though ..considering trying it overhead instead, but waiting on consensus that it works well there.

Charge Port not Opening on Cable Button Press

Can't seem to get my cable button press to automagically open the charge port. Worked fine with the loaner MX 90D last week. Not sure if SigX was built with all the fixins for this to work once the SW upgrade made it available. Apologies if this was covered back when SW feature was pushed out...

Things you didn't know about your Model X

I too am overly cognizant of how my brake light indication may be misconstrued by other drivers. There must be a better way to signal that the car is slowing without implying erratic brake pedal behavior. Perhaps using the rear camera and/or rear proximity sensors as additional inputs to brake...

    Audio mutes automatically!

Sounds like it has a mind of it's own. My dome light cluster was just replaced for having a mind of its own ..could be contagious o_O Tough to say if it's HW or SW at this point - best bet is to report it and let TM figure it out!

    Headliner Fit and Finish Issue

SC said all the Xs they looked at are just like this, and their logic is that if they are all like this, then it must be fine. I strongly disagree! I would classify this as a systemic flaw which needs to be addressed! I asked that it be logged and reported to engineering. I can't imagine...

    Headrest adjustment

I find this odd as well. Although it hasn't bothered me much personally, it does reek a little of Apple locked-down OS arrogance. You can pull the steering wheel toward you to help with arm reach ..pedals not so much. Hopefully TM will open this up for user adjustment in future SW upgrades.

    Headliner Fit and Finish Issue

Has anyone else noticed their headliner pulling away from the roof where it meets the windshield overhead? I can practically put my entire hand in the gap! That can't be how it was designed to fit. I reported it to my SC ..curious if this is systemic or unique to my X.

Falcon Door Collided with Front Door

I contend that if one adds up the tolerances in all of the moving parts involved in this complex door dance that this scenario is indeed possible! Operating the doors on a slopped driveway/roadway exacerbates the issue.

Crunch! Falcon Wing Doors fail to sense obstacle

Wow! Goodwill indeed. To all other Model X owners - take heed of the "one time" portion of the receipt and look up/around when parking indoors! Congratulations on your repairs. My X goes to the body shop as soon as the new trunk lift gate arrives. Still waiting on a SW update to correct for...

    Wind noise

There were 2 noticeable issues with the front triangle (quarter glass) windows on my car. First, the rubber gasket/joiner-piece between the main front window and the quarter glass, appears either miss-sized (short) of improperly installed. Looking from inside, there is a half-inch gap between...

Double vision (ghosting) at night through windshield?

Still waiting on findings from Tesla's investigation on this issue and subsequent corrective actions. IMO Ghosting is unacceptable and must/will be addressed at any cost.

Anyone else notice their X wake up, unfold mirrors then sleep again?

I noticed this issue as well when I'm doing something in the garage with the fob on me or nearby. Could also explain why some folks have reported really short fob battery lifespan. Must be some constant bidirectional communication between key & car when in range. Could also explain the door...

Crunch! Falcon Wing Doors fail to sense obstacle

The FWDs do not handle all use-cases today, to be sure! It's a love/hate relationship for me. I love the accessibility and the feeling I get when others see them in action - It's priceless. I hate the learning curve for my family and having to always wonder if they will or won't hit a nearby...

Post Initial Problems with the Model X

Ghosting/Double-Vision is definitely very real - I can attest! ..and once aware, It's difficult to un-see! It's very unnerving actually, I must admit. All light sources seem prone, but LED ghosting is more vivid as it is brighter, more focused, and distinctly shaped. Very obvious at night...
