Lift gate not going high enough

I had to replace the lift gate on my 2016 Model S. They also replaced the shocks. The hatch doesn't go high enough. I had the body shop try an adjust it, they said they could not. So I looked up how to do it and I replicated the steps with no success. 1. Raise hatch to desired height. 2. Hold...

Doing the unthinkable. Looking at a non-Tesla to replace my S.

My main complaint about my S is phantom drain. It loses about a percent a day while in my garage. My wife's Kia Soul EV, by contrast, sits at 80% charged for weeks. Does anyone have phantom drain experience with the newer EV models hitting the road? Particularly the Mustang Mach E.

What happened to free supercharging for life?

Once upon a time at My Tesla it said I would have free supercharging for any new S or X I ever bought. Now that is gone and says free for the car I own. Besides being a horrible incentive to not buy a new car what is going on here?

    Boston Pru Supercharger

I see that there are now 8 Superchargers at The Pru. As soon as someone uses them can you post your experience. Do you have to pay for parking in able to access the SC's? Thanks

Frunk on refreshed S won't open.

When I release my frunk it was pops up like normal but the second latch doesn't open. I figured out how to move it so I can get in. Kinda like a normal engine hood works. I see there are two cables, the front latch cable moves but the rear one (the cable on right) doesn't. Any one else have this...

Model Charger now working correct (software fix?)

Sorry title is wrong, Mobile Charger now working. My refreshed 75D has been unable to charge at it's full amperage capability since I received it (at home anyway). I have it on a 40 amp breaker and set it up at 32 amps. Every time I used it the Model S would say something is wrong with my...

    Nice looking pedals

Ordered aluminum pedals from this company and they just arrived. Less than $51 with free shipping. Ordered 8/20. Arrived from China today 9/3. They look good and were easy to install. You literally pop the brake pedal off and put this one on. The accelerator goes over the existing one. They...

    Anyone going to Westerly tomorrow?

I RSVP'd for the Road Trip stop in Westerly tomorrow. New to the Tesla family so I don't know what to expect. Anyone ever been to one of these type events?

Just bought the Extended Service Agreement

I was a few days short of my deadline. Couldn't decide. My main concern was years one and three are pretty skimpy. Nothing too expensive there, but there was an unknown. If I just did even years with Tesla at today's prices it would cost $3200 over 8 years (plus inflation which probably would...

    First trip requiring Supercharger

Just a quick day trip to the White Mountains from Southern NH. Started out fully charged in a 75D from Hooksett for the 206 mile round trip back to the SC. On the return leg I put in my house as the destination and the car said drive under 55 and I would arrive at my house with 3% range. I...

The press has a new obsession.

Tesla's bad run of news is over thanks to bad things happening to Pokemon players. We all know the press can't stay focused. Now if we will all just pay attention while on Autopilot this will all go away. Pokémon players shot at in Palm Coast, Fla.

Small dent in trim around touchscreen

Don't know how it happened but my less than one month old S has a small dent at the bottom of the trim around the touchscreen. I was hoping this might be a fairly easy piece of trim to replace but every page I have seen involving the screen shows it out of the vehicle with this trim attached. If...

Tesla vehicle deliveries slip in Q2

It seems strange for this to come out on a holiday weekend. Tesla vehicle deliveries slip in Q2

    Model 3 Color Idea

We were talking about the fairly narrow color palette Tesla currently offers for the S and X. My wife said she really hopes they have some bolder picks for the 3. Then she said why doesn't Tesla come up with like 25 different colors, some crazy, some mainstream, and let reservation holders make...

Can you imagine if a Tesla had killed Anton Yelchin?

Right now TSLA stock would be worth about half of what it was last week and the articles would be burning up the Internet. Tesla finds itself in the same position as Apple. It generates clicks and that is all that matters. Ever see a headline saying Huawei has an antenna problem? I bet you most...

    Software Update

Got in my 75D this afternoon for a trip and it said there was a software update available. I'm on 7.1. No one is mentioning it. Anyone else see this and know what it addresses? Had to delay it till we get home tonight.

    Using Homelink

Apologies if this is covered elsewhere. I searched for Homelink and all those threads were about trouble setting up. My garage door opener works fine when I push the Homelink button inside the car but the last time I left it didn't close the garage door automatically. Yes I have the option...

    Tips on planning a trip.

I am the owner of a Model S 70D VIN. :) Can't wait to get the car attached to it in a few months. I am reading this forum, looking through the manual and trying to know as much as I can on day one. Just yesterday I learned something new. That Tesla recommends you not charge to 100% to increase...

    Itching to pull the trigger

I sat in a Tesla Model S at the showroom in Las Vegas two years ago. I had just retired and really considered getting one then. Just couldn't bring myself to do it. I had just bought a Volt a year prior. I am averaging 228 mpg in it over the past three years but my aversion to using gas makes it...
