    Tesla Model Y-LR in Australia

Question for owners - can you get your MY to direct the airflow above the steering wheel on the driver's side? I adjust the airflow and it will direct down, but not really above the middle of the steering wheel, even though the graphic indicates that it should be. Just wondering if this is an...

    AGL’s “Night Saver Energy Plan”

I've been on this plan with OVO for coming up to a month now. I was previously with Amber, which worked well generally for me as I could mainly charge from solar, particularly in the summer months, but we're about to get a Model Y in addition to my S, so needed more certainly around charging and...

    Tesla Software updates - Australia

It's been like that always. I don't think the "two lightning bolt" has ever shown anything in the 5 years I've been an owner.

Victoria Destination Charging Across Victoria Program

I actually hadn't seen that there's a proposed supercharger for Apollo Bay, that would be even better :)

    Australian Model Y Waiting Room

We're in a similar position. Have a Est. Delivery between August 11 and September 1, but no VIN showing yet, or through the API. MYLR in Red. Although, looking at the application for vehicle registration in my account, there is a VIN shown there and checking it on the Register of Approved...

    Tesla Model Y-LR in Australia

Quick question - is there any difference in the interior for the Long Range vs the RWD? On the Model 3, it looks like you get 'premium audio' with the long range, but that seems to be standard on the Y in the RWD. Are the differences with the Long Range just the battery and motors?

    SiriusXM Volume Scratchy

Went for a drive at lunch today Australia time. About 40 minutes driving, zero issues with audio. We don't have XM here, but tested FM, Apple Music, Spotify and Bluetooth all with no audio issues now.

    SiriusXM Volume Scratchy

Same here. Just got 2023.6.8 here in Australia and FM radio is working properly again with all other sources. No gaps in playback on Apple Music etc. either.

Constant cracking sound in speakers; sporadic loss of audio

I just got 2023.6.8 on my S75D in Australia and the audio issue is FIXED! FM is working fine (there is maybe some glitching when changing volume, but when the volume is set, it's fine. I think it may have done this before the larger issues were seen.), other audio sources are working fine too...

Constant cracking sound in speakers; sporadic loss of audio

I did it via this page: Customer and Product Support | Tesla Support Using the contact us link at the bottom. You'll then need to log in and mention what the issue relates to, which is "Vehicle and App features", then choose "Software and Firmware". I got an initial response asking me to do a...

Constant cracking sound in speakers; sporadic loss of audio

For me, this specifically happened with the latest update on the car 2023.2.x. I'm currently on 2023.2.10, but the issue was introduced when I updated to 2023.2.0.5. Prior to that update, I had no issues with audio in the car. With FM it's basically unusable as the distortion is so great all of...

    Tesla Software updates - Australia

Anyone else having audio issues after the latest update? 2023.2.5(?) which I had before was where it started and just upgraded to 2023.2.10, but it didn't resolve the issue. It's particularly prevalent while using FM radio in that the audio is distorted all the time, but with Spotify/Apple...

Constant cracking sound in speakers; sporadic loss of audio

I'm having a similar issue on my 2018 Model S in Australia. It seems fine when parked, but when driving I get audio glitches on FM, Spotify and Apple Music. FM seems the worst though as it's constantly distorted while driving.

2018 Model S - limited warranty showing as expired

I purchased my Model S in June 2018 a few months after the 8 year warranty was introduced for the whole car. I've just noticed an issue with one of the daylight running lights and scheduled a service to resolve this, but am told my warranty has expired and that this requires replacing the full...

    Primacy 3 st tyres

I'm just coming up to 60k kms on my S75D and am starting to look at getting the tyres replaced. I've read through a few threads on this, but am still not 100% clear on one point: The Tesla supplied tyres have foam in to reduce noise. Is this is the same if you buy the tyres from somewhere...

Adjust Tesla charge rate from mobile app, API & PW2 to allow use of excess solar

@modus0p thanks for this. I've just set up something similar. It's not quite as accurate, but gives a good approximation. I've got a free PowerPal, which shows net usage within the house. I have the actual solar values coming in from the inverter, so when the Powerpal hits 0 KWh usage, that...

FSD Hardware 3.0 upgrade for Model S/X

TLDR: Autopilot computer upgrades for S/X should be available in Q1 2021 Apologies if this is already well known, but I couldn't find any information from my searches. I purchased the FSD upgrade for my Model S back when it went on special a year or two ago and have been patiently waiting for...

    Tesla Software updates - Australia

I figured this would be the case, but confirmed now that the speed sign recognition is only for HW3.0. I'm on HW2.5 on my Model S. I contacted service again the other day about when upgrades would be available (I have purchased FSD), but they still have no timeframe.

    Tesla Software updates - Australia

Yes, it looks like there has been a map update recently. In my case, a local road, which is and always has been 60km/h, but was previously shown as 50km/h has been updated. It's been updated to 70km/h though o_O, still, at least I can now set it to 60kmh, which I wasn't able to do before. I...

Yellow screen border issue and Australian consumer law

As an update on this, I had mine done back in October/November. I've had a small amount of yellowing in one point on the screen again. Doesn't seem to be getting worse, so hopefully I'll be able to get it done again when I take it in to get the HW 3.0 upgrade (when it's available here). Does...

    Navigate On Autopilot in Australia

Yes it is. My AP2.5 MCU2 S had the yellow border issue, but it was resolved with the UV machine that they have available in Australia now. Not sure whether it will come back, but it's been a few months now and no sign of yellowing again.

    Navigate On Autopilot in Australia

I've been playing with NOA for a week or so now, driving in to Melbourne from the western suburbs. Firmware 50.7. My observations: Seems to want to stay 1 lane left of the rightmost lane all the time, unless it's looking to take an exit. Often wants to be in the wrong lane to take an exit -...

    Navigate On Autopilot in Australia

I would say that's expected, it's designed for on-ramp to off-ramp, nothing before or after that - that's FSD territory.

    Supercharger - Moonee Ponds, Vic

I went there for the first time a few days ago and managed to (very) briefly draw 116Kw from the Supercharger in my 75D as I was down to 29% SoC and the supercharger was completely empty, which was awesome.

Screen yellowing repair now available - Australia

Over the last few months the edges of my screen have been showing the seemingly common problem of yellowing. It didn’t bother me a huge amount, but as I was in the service centre in Melbourne the other day while supercharging, I thought I’d enquire as to when the UV machine to repair this might...

V10 Australian Entertainment Apps - YouTube Link Video

@paulp Does it work in the standard browser? I would have thought not as Foxtel Go doesn't work. If it does, send me the URL and I'll add it to the list. I don't have a Kayo account, so can't test it myself.

Supercharger - Great Ocean Road VIC

I guess there's still no news on this supercharger. Still listed as coming soon, but it's been that way for years now. It's great that there's the chargefox ultra fast charger in Torquay, which I may use once I get a CCS2 adapter for my S, but it would be great to have a supercharger on the GOR...

Just got V10 this morning and have been playing around with the ability to watch Netflix, YouTube etc. I saw that you can use links from YouTube to watch other services such as Plex etc. in full screen (which you can't do from the browser directly), so I created a quick YouTube video with links...

    Navigation Data update: AU-2019.24-10589

At some point in the last day or so my navigation data got updated tp AU-2019.24-10589. Making homelink work In equipped model S/X/3

Thanks for the tips here. I got the merlin receiver and remote today. It was a 5 minute job to install once I'd worked out which terminals to connect it to on the existing opener. Now my S can control the garage door - awesome! Note that the receiver doesn't come with any cable or a power...
