Yeah, look at @RoBoRaT post 217 above. I can confirm it works.

Boooo! Where are all of you finding the cheap ones? I was looking for AGES

DiY HomeLink Install using in car Service Mode - No need for Tesla Service or ToolBox

I found a listing on eBay with a buy it now price of $200, made an offer for $180 and they accepted. Total for me ended up at just under $200.

DiY HomeLink Install using in car Service Mode - No need for Tesla Service or ToolBox

Good idea. I’ll see if my range is good enough where it currently is, and if I need more range I’ll definitely move it. Fwiw I did try finding information where the OEM mount location is but I couldn’t find anything.

DiY HomeLink Install using in car Service Mode - No need for Tesla Service or ToolBox

I can confirm this procedure works, in my 2022 MYP. The only difference is in the location of the plug. The hardest part was getting my garage door opener to learn… I ended up accidentally erasing all my openers (no fault of this process, stupid Chamberlain opener…) Thanks again!!!

New "wraparound" dash door panels for the US Model Y's - retrofit to existing cars?

Way cheaper! I traded in my 3 since at the time I could get a 1.82% interest rate so I’m sticking with this thing for the long haul! I’m thinking about doing this as I like modifying my cars. There’s not much to be had for power mods, not like an ICE where there’s loads of engine mods, turbo...

DiY HomeLink Install using in car Service Mode - No need for Tesla Service or ToolBox

Well, I’m in! Thanks for digging in to this. Ordered a used module on eBay. Here’s hoping it works, otherwise I’m out $200 😅

How different is the new Comfort Suspension (October 22 -) to the previous gen (prior to Oct 22 change)?

Definitely following this thread. When I traded in my 2020 Model 3 LR for my 2022 Model Y Performance, if felt like a lateral move, the car was basically the same except now I had more space and a power trunk…despite the much larger wheels. I would sure be interested in retrofitting a nicer...

    Windshield Washer fluid hose disconnected.

Yeah, absolutely. You can do it. I didn’t even have to use pliers to correct mine, and I’ve got large hands. I would think a techie grandma would have no trouble at all.

Installed! Austin MY C Pillars for Parcel Shelf

I feel bad for folks that get denied the parts, all I did was write a service request listing the part numbers and that I wanted to buy them. The worst part I had to suffer was the month wait for the parts :( Madison, WI service center treated me well.

Following. Interested in the results and total cost once one of you daring fellows takes the plunge!

Installed! Austin MY C Pillars for Parcel Shelf

I just finished retrofitting mine two days ago. I think there is a minor noise benefit. Parts cost to me was $211 for the three parts as in post #1. I picked them up at my local service center. I had to wait weeks for them to come in, though. It took me an hour to install; I’m familiar with car...

MYP ‘22 aka The Vomit Comet

I think you need to practice driving it more. You sound like me when I first started driving my car… the regen is entirely due to your control of the accelerator pedal.

Installed! Austin MY C Pillars for Parcel Shelf

Yep, same with me. I got a message today that they’re waiting on parts and will reschedule. We probably bought all the stock Tesla had, lol.

Just got the trunk liner. Fits well. Came folded up in quarters so I let it relax in the sun before installing. It’s very much like the fit you would expect. I am pleased with the fitment and I will recommend it to the other model Y owners that I know in person. Finally I can get rid of my old...

Installed! Austin MY C Pillars for Parcel Shelf

Seeing that update, I’ve put in an order now, too. I filed it under “other”. Looks like mobile service for some reason, even though there’s a showroom like 5 miles away… Looking forward to their response!

    Lug Nut Torque

Nah, it’s fairly common. Heck, my 2012 Mini Cooper was 129 as well. Course, it was a lot lighter though it only had four lug bolts per wheel…

Affected me too. Debating whether to fix it myself or request other panel alignment corrections at one service appointment

    Question about tire replacement

Jeez, at only 4k miles, I’d try and get just one identical tire and replace just it. I can’t imagine the wear would be enough to worry about. If you can’t get an identical tire, replace at least a pair.

Protecting your Tesla from nuke EMP

In short, no. Those devices do nothing but make the owner feel like they have control and some protection. In order to protect against an EMP blast, you need a Faraday cage. Think of EMP as a crap load of electrons just blasting your car. That causes damage when they get in your wiring...

    HomeLink DIY install

So I’m seeing a lot of the 1114984-00-A part on eBay, will those work? From the pictures they sure look a lot like the -B part mentioned earlier in the thread. Sorry for the weird formatting. I’m on mobile.

    Best interior general cleaner

I use Fantastik on the seats. It’s technically unscented but it does have a bit of a smell to it. That and a microfiber cloth does quick work of blue jean “staining”.

Phantom braking so bad I want to return my car

This is nuts. “Don’t use autopilot”… “very few people use intelligent cruise”… it’s one of the major selling points of the car! What the heck. Also, did you read the rest of the thread? It happens in both TACC and Autopilot. It’s a shitshow. My ‘22 MYP freaks out if there’s any large vehicle in...

Phantom braking so bad I want to return my car

I suggest using the “ignore” option available in the forum. With regards to that user in this forum, my blood pressure decreased significantly after I ignored them. There is no saving them; they are irredeemable.

Took delivery today. Ordered in November… Schaumburg, IL Red/white Tow Has: Ryzen, mudflaps, PPF, matrix headlights, heated wipers. Single pane rear glass. Yes, has carbon fiber spoiler. NF372 I’m still a bit giggly, which is unusual for me. I’m not that kind of guy… Can’t believe it’s mine...

Having second thoughts about MYP after VIN assigned, open to ideas

I am trading in my 2020 M3LR for a ‘22 MYP. I test drove a MYP back a while ago and found that the ride quality is better on the MYP. lots of other improvements too, so in my case I’d stay stick with the MYP.

How the Heck am I supposed to Clean this Thing?

I’m in Wisconsin and I take my model 3 to a local reputable touchless car wash every week or two. I’ve not gone to a Kwik Trip wash yet that wasn’t good. Have been doing this for two years and it still looks fine. I did put on a ceramic coat when I first got the car, it cost me $80 and a couple...

Will not take any charge—2021 Y LR with 44.25.4

Oh if people don’t know, the devices most people know as “chargers” are really only a way to safely hook up to electricity. That’s why Tesla refers to theirs as a “wall connector” instead of “charger” The car actually does the charging, but this is true of all electric cars.
  42. G

Will not take any charge—2021 Y LR with 44.25.4

That would seem to indicate the onboard charger is faulty; superchargers bypass them so it makes sense that you could still supercharge.

    18'' winter tire on performance

Not going to work, 18” is too small for the rear brake calipers.

Score now 99 - do you get FSD Beta now or next cycle?

I had similar. I was at 98 for ages until a “bad day” dropped off and my score went up to 99, next day (maybe two) I got the email and shortly thereafter I got the update notification. My fiancé doesn’t drive as well as I do though and we only have one Tesla though :) Irritatingly though, that...
