I’ve been abroad for 4 months, my 2023 Y LR up on blocks awaiting my return. I subscribed for several months and found FSD helpful on long freeway drives of thousands of miles around the West. However, the frequent ‘nagging’ struck me as unsafe, as it requires you to watch the screen rather than...

This last update is scary (maybe dangerous). In the Last few days I have noticed 3 "issues" Please Explain.

Today, driving into Tucson from the south my MY LR AWD (2023) in autopilot and car wanted to switch lanes from the right lane to the passing lane about every minute or less during the ride. Except, I didn't want to move from the right lane?!?!? I did not indicate a turn or make any move that...

I own a '23 MYLR which I've had since Feb, no FSD. My wife just bought a '23 M3P that came with FSD for 3 months which just ended. I've run FSD in a combination of highway, suburban, and rural environments. Two things are very clear to me after three months. First, it's performance ranges...

Very likely that there will be a major update soon. When?
Either:
Thanksgiving weekend (23rd Nov)
CT event (30th Nov)
Christmas (24th Dec)
What will it contain?
Grok (20% likelihood?)
V12 FSD (20% likelihood) ASS included?
Emergency Starlink comms (20% likelihood)
Games
X app?

I purchased a model y about a month ago. When using autopilot, if I make a slight steering adjustment, the steering jolts, and autopilot turns off. With a Toyota I drove recently, the lane keep assist allowed me to make a steering adjustment, and the system stayed on. I much prefer the Toyota...
First, I am sorry about the clickbait title. I am a proud owner of a new model X (decided to take advantage of FSD transfer option). To give you some background - I've been an FSD beta tester since it was available (after a strenuous couple of weeks and a 99 safety score) for couple of years...

For several months now, when in bumper-to-bumper traffic, if my lane (usually the HOV lane, to the far left) is moving faster than the traffic in the lane to my right, my car, while on EAP, will suddenly lock onto one of the cars in the lane to the right and slow down as if it's actually in my...

I just picked up a model S plaid and have full autopilot if that's applicable to this post. I had parked in a spot backed in, and requested my car pick me up outfront. It was a simple manuever... or so I thought. The green line in the picture is where I assumed it would go, with the star being...
I own FSD. My opinion is FSD drives like an erratic teenager first time driver. Sometimes it's so slow it annoys you. Other times it leaves so little distance it scares you. It's jerky and not smooth. It automatically does lane changes on its own which I'd rather leave off and initiate myself...

My Model 3 was delivered in mid-August 2018. While I originally just had Enhanced Autopilot (EAP), I quickly paid the extra $2000 to get FSD as rumors swirled about Tesla charging more in the future. What's my opinion after 5 years of testing and playing with Tesla EAP and FSD? TLDR: It's pretty...

I have got to be honest. Full Self Drive capability in Tesla goes further than any other vehicle designed by man (or woman) but it left me wanting for more.
I bought my Model Y Long Range on Friday 9/1 and took it for a little ride from Houston to Corpus Christi on Sunday 9/3. Here are my first...

Hi everyone, I'm new to this forum and am hoping to be able to learn more about my Model Y and - in particular - some tips of optimal configuration of the software. Given I'm in Australia (Sydney), my experiences might be a little different from others, but I'd appreciate any thoughts people...

Today the car stopped waiting for a left hand turn (due to oncoming traffic) on a two lane rural road. When it made the turn and was on the road being turned into, it suddenly made a violent zig zagging movement and seemed to come to a stop about 3 feet into the opposing lane, having crossed...
Testing FSD beta 11.4.2 today on a short torture course that caused problems for earlier versions. This drive was done in Chill mode. At 5:49, it barely made the transition into a left turn lane to enter an onramp to I-5, which earlier versions could not do. It had to make a hard braking...
I've been in the FSD Beta program since summer of last year, and while I've seen updates with significant improvements, so far my limited experience with 11.4.2 has shown more improvements than I've seen in any prior release.
(As always, YMMV).
We've all developed a feel for what FSD Beta can...

TLDR:
What driving conditions have you found challenging for FSDb?
- FSDb is the best driver assist package available today, but is absolutely not ready to take unsupervised control of your vehicle.
- It would work better (and possibly more safely) with a more advanced driver monitoring system...
I've been in the beta program since 10.2 and - while there have certainly been regressions - FSDb has gone from being erratic and scary to quite predictable, almost boring! Zero intervention trips are now common, and even my long daily commute only has a couple of them, usually at predictable...

I have been using both AP and NOAP (Navigate on Autopilot) since I picked up my Model S. I Find that there are only two modes it seems to drive in, aggressive driver or giddy teenager driving on highway for the first time.
It says a lot about the developers who are working on this algorithm...

The next big milestone for FSD is 11. It is a significant upgrade and fundamental changes to several parts of the FSD stack including totally new way to train the perception NN.
From AI day and Lex Fridman interview we have a good sense of what might be included.
