I certainly don't have this update and my maps say "google 2017" in the bottom right hand corner. I thought the new maps were for the maps on the instrument cluster.

OP in confused about maps - which is by Google and Navigation - which is 'by Tesla'

FWIW, in December of last year I received the notice shown on the left side of the image shown below and after activating it the maps changed as shown on the right side of the image.

I am currently on 8.1 (2017.32.6ca28227) and while I have not received a notice about new maps I just checked and see somewhere along the line the 2016 changed to 2017 as shown in the second image.

The map you see on the MCU is downloaded live from Google Maps, so the date only reflects when Google updated their data on the servers. It's probably a coincidence that Google updated its data for your area at around the same time you received a firmware update.

I've gotten two notices of maps update this calendar year. I haven't seen any sort of amazing improvement. Seems to be OK, but that's about it. Traffic updates and estimated ETA is still totally wrong.

Three years in. Grrrr.

MS75 AP1. OTA this morning from 17.26.17 to 17.34.36 then on to 2017.34 2448cfc. "Minor fixes and improvements "

We'll see if anything noticeable has changed.

Just got this this morning also. If only they gave more details than "Minor fixes and improvements". I haven't noticed anything different yet. AP2 60Don WiFi in midwest.

I received it this morning. Have not noticed anything yet while driving but did see an animation showing the known Easter eggs when I press the Tesla T at the top of the touchscreen.

I did not receive the previous 3 updates so this may not be new to the update I received today.

I received it yesterday and also noticed it fixed the blinking tire pressure sensor alert when the car starts up.

Our update was installed last night. Didn't drive the car after the update but when I went to sit in it this morning the mirrors didn't retract. Mentioned this under another thread so won't elaborate. Will take it out tonight for dinner and get a better feel for these minor changes and improvements.
