(ordered 29/7, so I was maybe getting ahead of myself slightly)

No. The "Order No." we talk about is actually the last 4-5 digits of your booking reference number.

Well, after all the generic texts that were sent to lots of us, myself included I have today had a final invoice drop with an estimated delivery of 30 September
Nice, we ordered the same spec a week apart...I'll pencil in 7th Oct for my collection
Will be interesting to see if that date moves, they'll be madly rushing to get as many delivered by Q3 end.

Yes I did think it would be the mad push for Q3, if it does happen I will be over the moon but still have some doubt, rightly or wrongly! I guess if my date does end up being correct you may get a reallocation and have yours next month!

As my wife responded yesterday when I dropped the bomb shell about delays with tow, 'we have waited long enough for this, a bit longer to avoid the rush and not get a lemon is not a problem'. I hope she is right.
add to that, i've just noticed the final invoice says the delivery date is 30 september
good stuff - there is the whole random nature of the system in a nutshell.

I ordered 8th August versus your 16th July.
I got final invoice last week (number 13000) but a scheduled delivery of 25th September versus your 7000's invoice number and 30th September.
Just sums up the totally random nature of the process.
The date on your final invoice is very much a guide. You can pay now if you need to. Your actual delivery date will only be definite a few days before you get it.
My final invoice says 28 Aug but I actually got the car yesterday, 23 Aug.
Based on this I just checked and I have vin in the source code as of this morning...well that's something I suppose...I wait eager for the rest to fall into place.
Here's hoping mines is in the cosmos or even the conductor
My vin finished 440***. Does this mean anything tho, can we figure anything out from it?
