how have you guys found the date of manufacture from the VIN..?
thanks for linkI think it can be checked here: Check Tesla vin for factory manufactured date
The VIN numbers on that link haven’t changed since I first looked mid July so I don’t think it’s being updated.thanks for link
Closest VIN there is 729*** which looks like a LHD model, made on 20th May
looks like sequence of VINs is different for RHD models? Mine is a 748*** a big gap!
I’d imagine they’d go to a service centre first to be prepped ie cleaned, find any glaring damages and get number plates attached and so forth.Does anyone know if the cars unloaded at Southampton for home delivery are delivered straight from Southampton or do they all go off to the various Tesla centres first?
Seen posts on here saying people are generally getting them 5 days before delivery, hope so, then I can update insurance companySpeaking of plates, with it only being 8 days until collection, I could really do with a reg

Oh right cheers Mark got my VIN obviously but didn't realise they'd dish out a reg, calling nowCall Tesla, I got mine weeks ago.

Wouldn’t give me mine as I’ve got an 18th pick up date, guy said I’ll get it 5 days before by SMSTop man mark got mine now, text would have been here in few days anyway apparently
Thanks, you saved me a phone callI asked on Monday about my Reg, delivery is due on the 1st September, They informed me that DVLA had not yet released the '70' plates.
Hello @DanAndTheBeard, that’s interesting. Do you know what that means for folk like me who have a pickup scheduled for 31 August? I always assumed that one couldn’t drive before the official reg change date.Just to go back to an earlier call I had with Tesla, they mentioned that cars registered after 26th August will have a 70 plate. Maybe that’s when we can expect to find out what our reg is?
