2020.48.26 Did you get Boombox?

I didn't get it either. My Y is 0033xx and my 3 is 0046xx. I guess I'm too early for both cars. I thought for sure the 9 month old Y would have it.

Afaik, it overlays rather than replacing it.

Exactly. So you can’t replace it with silence. And it doesn’t allow a separate selection for forward and reverse. So pre-update you had:
Reverse: UFO sound
Forward: dragging branch

Now you can have, for example:
Reverse: UFO sound w/Snake Jazz
Forward: dragging branch w/Snake Jazz

So could you apply the same principles as they do in noise cancelling headphones? Can you invert the dragging branch sound and overlay that on top of the normal dragging branch sound, and effectively cancel out all sound when driving forward? Just curious...

That would be interesting and would require very precise timing... hopefully someone tests that out and see’s if there is any variability in when exactly the mp3 starts or loops...

Honestly I don’t want to hassle with connecting my speaker again to test it myself...

My buddy just submitted an app request for Tesla to install the speaker. The system scheduled his appt for Jan 6th. He’s waiting for the estimate. We’ll see how this plays out.

Mine is a June build and Daerik was a March build and his worked after the reset.
I’m installing a speaker now (Prius PWS) just to see if it’s just noise without boom box or both.
