2022 Model Y Performance Rear Ended, totaled?

Several years ago, maybe 25. I was driving an Ford pickup following a late model Mercedes on the freeway. The Mercedes had the latest and greatest brake technology, the Ford didn't. Something fell off a truck ahead and everyone was panic braking. It was like I was on ice, I couldn't stop as fast as the Mercedes.

When I hit the rear of the Mercedes it did help me slowdown however.

Likely totalled. The front and rear ends are single piece castings, but the cost to repair the casting, the bumper shel, probable damages DU, Insurance will write it off. Then again strip that baby for spare parts a known issue with Tesla Service. there's value in trim pieces and the MCU

I would say yes… my repair was just under $38k (not counting rental) and I had much less damage, granted front end and not rear…
