Is it totaled?

Was at the wrong place at the right time yesterday afternoon. My car got hit when this 17 year old kid took this corner at a high rate of speed. I got sandwiched between the culprit and a second victim on my passenger side.

Been having issues with my usb drive and sentry mode has been glitchy but luckily was recording at the time of collision. Video is evident that I’m clearly not at fault as I was completely stopped at the red light. Anyways my main concern is ensuring my car is deemed as a total loss as I do not want to carry the burden of getting a refurbished car that will never drive the same as new.

The supply chain issue and labor shortages will drive it to be totaled.
Not true. I’m an estimator and we have cars sitting in our back lot for months waiting on back ordered parts to come in. The insurance companies only really care about the value and whether or not it makes financial sense to repair it. Most insurance policies have a 30 day cap on rental car coverage so the amount the insurance company pays is capped so having a car sit for months doesn’t cost them anymore. We have cars sit all the time waiting for one small part but that one small part is crucial to the repair and it takes months sometimes to get it. Lately though it’s been getting better. The OP’s model 3 may be a total loss just from the extent of the damage but without doing a complete tear down it’s really difficult to tell. Easiest way to total any Tesla with damage is to find damage on any part of the battery housing. Remember tesla doesn’t repair battery housings they only replace. I just went thru this process with my P90DL and the estimate was 25k to repair the damage but after inspection of the battery they had to add an additional 25k for the pack.

was it totaled?
The OP of this thread has not been on TMC since July of this year, and they only had 2 posts total. You are not likely to find out. There are plenty (plenty) of other "is it totaled?" threads you can check, though. Its pretty common in these threads for the OP to disappear. Not all do, but more than a few do.
