40kwh Model S canceled

What would actually be fair (from a 60-owner perspective) is for the price of an upgrade from 40-to-60 to be on a linear sliding scale. To get it in Yr 1 $10,000, Yr 2 $8000, Yr3 $6000, Yr4 $4000 and anytime after the 5th year $2000. Likewise with the supercharger upgrade. These options become less valuable over time as the car depreciates.

SFOTurtle: I am going forward with the Model S but have broken down and upgraded my 40 to the 60kwh and the supercharger. It didn't make much sense to pay $13500 in 1-2 years when I can just increase my loan by $12000 and pay it off over the next few years at less than 2% interest.

So I guess Tesla got me and my extra cash. But can't wait to use the superchargers.

I did find out at DC store today that my delivery date will probably be first week of June. I was told a few weeks ago that it would be mid-late May, so that was a little disappointing.

I'm sure it will be worth the wait!
