Not really. It’s definitely a risk. Tesla could take the vin back and delay your order. Or they could let you buy it still

My recommendation (with your money on the line), wait until the car shows up at the DC before removing it so they can't just redirect out of Fremont to the next 7-seater with FSD, maybe?
You ordered in May…. Give it a month or two. If I had to guess, prob by end of Q3. You’ll prob get the car before me.

I was joking. We'll see how this goes. I want FSD but my wife doesn't, both our Y's now don't have it, so it won't really matter.
I really don't see this as being the case. There are other economic factors that play a part in the downturn of the market, not just Tesla.
My point is that Musk has to put up even more shares as collateral. Part of the reason that Tesla stock is down is the market, but part of it is because of Musk’s itch to buy Twitter.
I think it got announced this week that he doesn’t have to sell any tesla shares to acquire twitter
For those that are on the fence about FSD. I added FSD after getting my VIN (so I missed my opportunity to skip the line) after chatting with a few people who currently have FSD and taking in to consideration I was able to get it at the $10K price. So far I do not regret adding it on. Autopilot does do a lot on its own but the navigate on autopilot with lane changes is great and the stop lights/stop sign awareness. I have even used Autopark and think it's a nice convenience for backing into parking spots. Those are all EAP features, I am planning to opt in to the Beta program in a month or two once they start allowing more people in to really take advantage of the city streets driving. Hopefully that will be available to everyone at the end of the year but you never know with Elon time. It was a hard decision, but I thought back to why I was purchasing the Tesla in the first place and in addition to the efficiency, I was buying in to the FSD tech.
