I just got a text that they assigned a VIN to me.
Asked if they can confirm the battery and chip yet, they said not yet but will tell me soon.

EDD narrowed a week to 2/28 - 3/4. Then I noticed in the upper left hand corner of the app was the VIN! F381 and I asked the SA to confirm. It's legit with AMD and 12v Li batt! Finally!
I hope this hold true for me too. I just received NF383 as well. Waiting to hear from my rep to find out!

I wish mine would show different EDDs instead of delaying the EDD months. ordered 1/24/21 7 seats LR
Google or search for a VIN decoder. N is for 2022 if I remember correctly and F is for Fremont
oh nothe rep said my vin doesn't have the lithium ion battery or the AMD chip. i'm asking them again to confirm it, but that sounds not good.

Just got confirmation that my 378xxx MYLR7 is AMD, heated wipers. Build date 2/12.
Sales rep texted me and confirmed its the intel chip. I'm asking them about delaying delivery so that I can get a vin with the AMD ryzen chip. I figure that probably makes sense... I don't really need the vehicle right now, but I plan to keep it for 10 years or longer. Better chip for a little extra wait seems worth it.

"We can remove the VIN and place your order on a 14 day hold. By doing this you will have to take delivery of the next VIN you are assigned or your order will be subjected to auto cancellation. Would you like to proceed with removing the VIN and placing order on a 14 day hold.?"

Just be aware you could wait some time for the next one. Some people will get a new VIN quick and others like me, I gave up a VIN in mid December and am still waiting. If you have a serviceable car now then it may be worth the wait but if you need something soon you may want to take it.

I decided to put the order on hold and release the VIN. So i'm back in line, but hopefully can get the good chip soon

The AMD Ryzen is much faster though and probably more future-proof, right?
I agree its probably not a 'major' deal. But I do plan to have the car with my wife and kids for a long long time. And i'm not in a hurry to get the vehicle, so I guess it's worth a shot.
