It may have been covered in the breadth of this thread, but, are the 'trim' white lights on the fog lights tied to the white lights above the headlights always/sometimes?
I just noticed them on my loaner when it unlocked and hadn't noticed them ever coming on on my new X, and wonder if that's something else that is broken.
Cool, thanks! I didn't see any DRL setting (per se) even though it's in the manual or anything that could control the 'lower eyebrows' except Fog and Rear Fog (which, as far I'm aware, USA cars don't even have (rear, that is)....).Yes .
The L-shaped lights on the lower fog/turning light assembly usually mimic the state of the DRLs (what Tesla calls the “Signature Lights” on the MX). There may be a lights setting that controls this so maybe your X is fine in this regard, although dead otherwise. Also what is cool is the lower L trim lights change color from white to yellow to function as turn signals. On the S, they are always the same color and the car “winks” (dims) the DRL on that side to blink the turn signal in the headlight assembly. I guess they are both pretty cool sequences when you see them live.

I guess USA cars have DRLs on by default now? And I think I need my GF to do some control-turning while I see what the car does when, when I get it back.
Thanks!
Yeah.... thanks! I turned them on, and can't see *anything* lit up, at least with the garage door shut and the car in Park. Hm....We have Rear Fogs, and although my galactic coordinates may indicate otherwise, am usually in US, and from our car and the loaners I’ve had, they are not tied to PUP. I asked Tesla what they lit up and nobody had a clue, so I did the test myself with spouse. I won’t tell you the answer so you can have the fun of discovering this yourself with your GF.
It's good to hear they are still acknowledging it, but it appears to be low priority for them. The fact that they are STILL delivering vehicles without this option is a little disturbing...She looked into it and said Tesla has the VINs of those affected in some kind of database and that they would be reaching out to us when the retrofits were ready to be released.
Can someone with the latest software (2017.44) please post where the AFS is in settings? Looking at pictures, I think I have Adaptive Headlights, but don’t see the setting in the car to turn on / off. Have non-PUP X delivered yesterday.
