Any Canadians get to order D or P Model 3's yet?

If Tesla follows the same invite pattern going by reservation time some Canadians should have been invited by now shouldn't they?

No. The "invite pattern" is based on the configuration Tesla wants to sell us, and that's about it, unless you're reserving now. But for those who reserved in the past (and even the not-too-distant past), the invite pattern is based on "do you want this config?" and if so, order. So some prior owners are still waiting, and new, non-owners, got invites but only for RWD. So if Tesla follows the same "invite pattern" it will be based on when they decide to sell AWD to Canada. Again, my guess is late 2018 but more likely early 2019.

With long range battery, premium package, and AWD, that will break past the $77K ceiling to qualify for any EV rebate in BC anyways.

My 4 year standard warranty is up in 1.5 years on my 2015 S90D, so I should be able to get a fully loaded performance 3 in Dec 2019...unless there is a major update on an S by that time that will sway me into getting another S.
It's based on base price not optioned price. Should be fine even with AWD PUP AP 19s etc

What do you base that on? I don't know if that's right because according to that logic it would apply to the performance model and I don't see that happening especially since performance comes out at the same time as AWD. That was how the Ontario rebate was worded but ours says this:

They're looking at the MSRP of the vehicle that applies for the rebate, to the point that they're even looking at the taxes, and that's different for each vehicle. In my view, there's no way a Performance 3 will be rebated when a base S is not, and the P costs more. Same with a loaded AWD, AP, FSD, PUP, etc. I could be wrong though. But my position makes more sense to me, especially when we look at the wording of the rebate, which is unlike Ontario.

I would say "only time will tell" but maybe not if the rebate is exhausted before the AWD 3 arrives, which may be the case.

Just logged into my Tesla account and played around with configuring my Model 3 and low and behold, the Dual motor and Performance packages were available.

I didn’t get any email invite to configure, so those waiting for the P and D Model 3’s should check your accounts.

Seems like there is a 2-4 month wait after ordering, so earliest would be at the end of August and the latest would be around Halloween for delivery.

So if you select the performance model, you can opt for an additional $6600 performance package? Did I see that correctly?

Can you take a screen shot of the normal AWD specs please?

Looks like dual motor without performance package is 3-5 month wait.
Thank you very much.

Gotta say. That performance package for $6600 doesn't seem like a good deal. You can buy the 20s from the USA for cheaper and get the pedals and a Cf spoiler for less. And still have a second set of wheels as well. The top speed unlock is something you can't buy separately though.

And hope for a miracle (rebate)? That’s potentially a $20k “gamble”. If you’re ok with AWD at full price, then there’s no risk. Otherwise, the fact that AWD is not on the EVHIP eligible list is a huge red flag.
I don't need the rebate to afford the car as I'm pretty sound financially and only plan to lease the car..... But 14k is pretty nice rebate and would cover off a few months of payments or could be nicely invested!

Is the AWD worth $20k to you then? Because that's effectively the delta barring some stroke of luck. Also, you can't lease Model 3. You can finance through Tesla (or your own financial institution) but leasing isn't an option yet.

Having buyers remorse on my 3 rwd. Although I love the car!! Should have waited would have gotten top of the line performance all options. I've put another reservation in hopefully 1 year from may 31st I can sell and upgrade to performance. The $14k rebate needs me to keep it for 1 year. Guess that's close or better than depreciation car will have maybe 5k km next year perfect condition I hope I can sell without losing much.
