Anyone got a delivery text??

I received the text as well. Called in on 9/26 and got delivery appt scheduled for 9/30 at 6:30 delivery. Delivery showed up on my account but still didn't show a VIN. Received a call today that they had to cancel my delivery they scheduled for Sunday. Hope others have better luck.

After the mass text, had a Tesla Delivery Scheduler send me “Your Model (3) is ready to be picked up on 09/30/2018 at US-FL-Orlando-Eatonville delivery location.” Called yesterday, set up delivery appointment for Saturday @ 2:30. Next step was a delivery specialist would contact about the appointment. No call. I called today, the scheduler said there was no VIN assigned and they “ran out” for this weekend. “Ignore the appointment tomorrow”, and someone will contact me sometime in the future. The appointment still displays on the website :(

I think we should share that text with the state attorney general offices all over the country and they might take some action if there is merit to it. sending out confirmation emails to the buyers and then telling us it is just a mass campaign to do a pulse check how our weekend plan looks is ridiculous and atrocious. Tesla as a company should stop texting anything that is not true . from top down. It sounds like bluffing is a well accepted behavior for the company.

On Thursday, I was given a delivery appointment from the mass text number, but never heard from the local delivery advisor. I still see the delivery appointment of 9/30 at 5:30pm in the portal, but I expect about a zero chance of that happening.

Anyway, I have no immediate need for the car and assume I’ll get it by the end of the year, so I’m trying to enjoy the ride. I look at it as entertainment ;)

That’s how I approached this, laughing. For me this actually was fun experience seeing that they were trying to do the final push. All people I interacted over the phone were extremely nice and professional. I thanked them for their efforts and wished luck with strong quarter close.
Good luck to all that managed to get scheduled. For me, I got a message closing this possibility.

Thank you for confirming your availability. We are unable to schedule your delivery this weekend. We sincerely apologize for this, but will reach out as soon your car becomes available.

Back to my place in the line, November - January delivery. Gives me time to install charging outlet in the garage.

Got the same last night. All very disappointing. I was initially scheduled for delivery on Sept. 21st, got canceled and then got my hopes up again with this text and finally got told to wait again.
I pre-ordered the car in April 2016 and it seems that I lost my spot in the queue. The last thing I was expecting from Tesla was to put priority on investors over customers. Have a good Q3.

I think Tesla gave up after realizing that "double the Q2 production and deliveries" is not gonna happen given all the *sugar* happened over the last 2 weeks with logistics/scheduling. Many ways its good for us and Tesla as it is better to do it right to restore the trust and confidence we all had in Tesla before this fiasco.

I agree don’t tell me you will deliver cars in the order they were reserved only to tell me two years later it now depends on when you configured. Then turn around and give cars randomly to anyone who will answer a text the fastest........

Unsurprisingly, my delivery appointment (9/30 at 5:30pm) was canceled via call tonight around 7:30. A nice guy explained they weren’t able to match me to a vin after all, and talked about next steps of being contacted by the delivery team, etc.

c’est la vie, the fun continues!

You obviously didn't drink enough Kool-Aid

...joking, joking... lots of people in this situation, you aren't alone, right there along with ya.

I just got a text last night around 11:57pm EST time and have heard others have got it as well. Wondering if it's legit or not.

"Hello from the Tesla Delivery team. Our logistics team has confirmed a Model 3 matching your order is available this week. Are you available to take delivery between 9/26 - 9/30?"

I received a text and replied that I could take delivery. The text was returned and I was told that I would be sent to a delivery specialist. I replied several more times and was told I would be sent to a specialist. With the weekend approaching and still needing paperwork to process a check I called my local Tesla dealer and was transferred to Las Vegas. Vegas apologized that I they did not have a car for me and that I would be contacted later. Frustrating to say the least.

Yeah, I'm another victim of this text charade. Trying to stay positive and not pull my order. Gonna try to go the route of being entertained as I don't NEED the car, it's a second vehicle. But it's hard for me to spend my hard earned money with a company who treats me this way. I'll forgive it once.
Order: AWD Midnight Silver/ 18" Aero/ AdvAP
Delivery Estimate: Nov-January
Finances: Finance/In order/No trade. NO edit button. No VIN.
