I would like to sincerely apologize to the black Model 3 driver I saw today on Gulf Road in KOP.

Sorry that I acted as if I was a 12 year old girl who just pulled up next to a car with One Direction in it singing along with Taylor Swift.

Although I've seen quite of few at the Devon store and have had a ride along or two, It was my first time driving next to one on the road.

I'm still waiting on a delivery date. You have the same color I ordered and I also plan to take off the aero wheels.

On the road, the Model 3 looks like nothing else. Absolutely stunning!

Signed,

Female in the Black Highlander

I am shocked that ISA's are working today on a major holiday! Received an email this afternoon that my car is ready to schedule delivery! The ISA listed several dates at Devon which is a couple of days after I return from vacation! So far the process has been smooth as glass.
Reserved March 31 2016
Configured April 18 2018
VIN 268xx May 21 2018
Delivery June 9 2018
Red, Aero, RWD, LR, PUP
So our delivery got delayed until this Thursday,6/14. As of today everything is done! Awaiting check from bank to be FedEx's here tomorrow. Down payment ACH'd to Tesla via website. Our previous car was already sold to my nephew so we will Uber to Devon Thursday afternoon (On Tesla's dime due to the change in delivery date. We asked, they agreed! Thanks Tesla. it was the right thing to do!).
I did call out to Devon and the car actually won't arrive until tomorrow afternoon. I will DEFINITELY call Devon late morning on Delivery Date to confirm EVERYTHING! Driving out to Long Island on the weekend to see parents and show them the car. Father's Day on Sunday to boot!

Our delivery went off perfect. We had a 4pm appointment but since we knew there would traffic we left our house early and arrived at Devon @3:30.
They were finishing prepping the car outside in the carport area since there was another S or X delivery going on inside. After a few minutes we started on the paperwork with Matt. Literally 5 minutes worth! Then we went outside to the car. I looked it over carefully and was very happy to see o issues with paint job, panel gaps, no scratches or dents. There was only one issue where on the passenger side the black plastic rocker panel beneath the door sills was not clipped in properly. They snapped that back in and it was fine. No other issues.
Husband and I sat in the car and the Delivery Specialist Elliott explained all the workings of the car. He was very thorough and answered all of our questions. We spent 1 hour with them and never felt rushed.
When we had no more questions I checked the time and it was about 5:05. I had called Devon earlier to inquire about who they recommend to have the inspection done. They said they recommend D'Avico's Auto Repair just 5 minutes away down the street. I had checked with them and they close at 5:30 & said they need about 30 minutes So I called D'Avico's to see if they could still accommodate us. They said sure, come on over if you're close.
They are literally 5 minutes away and they were a pleasure to deal with. Took only about 20 minutes and we were all done and inspection stickered! A thank you to D'Avico's!
The car is amazing. The thing you will definitely need to adjust to is Regen braking via Accelerator if you've never driven a pure EV. My husband was driving and tbh I was getting a little nauseous as he was getting the feel of Regen driving which resulted in herky jerky driving. But he love the feature!
The single screen display was a none issue for him. This is one of those issues where you can't really comment whether it's an issue until you try it out
We're heading to Atlantic City today and it's MY TURN to drive the car Although Borgata Casino has a Tesla destination charger it's in the valet area and since it's only day two we have NO INTENTION of handing this car to someone else at this point!
Be patient everyone and your will be rewarded with an amazing car. Good luck to everyone!

Awesome, enjoy your new car.
Do you have to pay for the inspection or is it covered by Tesla?

It was my turn to drive the car for the first time from Center City to Atlantic City. First thoughts car handles great! And first hand experience with Regen braking definitely a different driving experience. It's a steeper learning curve at lower speeds than highway speeds.
I activated enhanced autopilot and tested first adaptive CC but only on the AC Expressway when it opens to 3 lanes. Traffic was heavy before that. Love TACC! Next step was Lane Keep Assist. LOVE THAT! I had no issues with the hands on nag. After about 5 minutes I was able to eliminate any nags and keep Hands @5 - 7 O'clock position. Felt very comfortable and no issues except for one instance. Approaching the final toll before reaching AC I was in the right hand lane using TACC & Autosteer. The lane I was in was veering left for express tolls but there were lane markings to split off on the right for toll booths. But there was a concrete divider with zebra markings opening up I felt the car pull to the right which meant it would eventually guide me into the concrete divider. I immediately took control and steered left back into the express toll lane which disengaged Autosteer. I never panicked and of course I was paying attention. But if you were looking at your phone and not watching the road and letting Autosteer do its own job I'm not confident it would have moved far enough right to avoid the concrete divider. My husband said there was a car adjacent in the right lane and he did here a warning beep at the exact moment I took control.
When used correctly Autosteer is a great feature. Obviously you need to pay attention

Actually mine was just scheduled for 7/20, initially ISA said end of June
This seems more realistic but a little disappointing. Seems strange how I have a VIN now and your ISA told you not to expect one for a month.

Besides acting like I was about to meet Mr. Musk? It went really well.

821 days of waiting and acting like a nervous derp. Priceless.

My husband is now a believer 110%.

We put 300 miles on it over the weekend.
