This can't be right, they unload cars by the 24th. They won't hold cars that long. It's cost for them.

Same thought from me. The ship will leave on 24/12. If the vehicles just stay at the port, that would cost Tesla a big bill.

I just decided to finish payment today. Earlier than i wanted but with weekends, public holidays, I didn't want any hold ups my end. During the week, payment goes in the next day. I made payment on Sunday and it took an extra day to reflect on the invoice.

Your finance company might require it (if using), but you can get yourself a cover note for a short period if you can't sort it out longer term cover in time. It would probably just cost you a bit more in the end.

You can finalise the insurance before you pick up with just the VIN. You can tell them the plate number later, I didn't do it until mine was almost up for renewal.

Is your EDD pushed from 15/12 - 29/12 which is on your signature?

Mine is still showing 21/12 - 31/12 since 2-3weeks ago

I think EDD is just EDD. my case EDD is still 21-31Dec. but it wont work. build date is 25th Nov and its on the boat. I hope I might get around 9th Jan. thats all I can expect

Same BD, it should be on msc immacolata, and it will arrive at Sydney tmr.

You don't need a rego number just the VIN

Oh really? I really hope you re right, I dont wanna wait till Jan. but SA said I might get a chance around 9th. but I am sure my car is on Viking !

Working in insurance we have a few horror stories of people having there car written off on the drive home from the dealership. Its the height of stupidity to have no insurance.

I'm still showing Dec 19 to Dec 31. Brisbane. Fat chance I'd say but who knows......been asking the SA for 3 days now but no reply to any message. How do i organise payment with all the public holidays coming up and having to have it cleared by 48hrs. Thinking of paying in full now just in case and wearing the cost...Insurance to be organised as well so hopefully things will settle and i get the car this year. Ordered in Feb 2022 so possibly in for an even longer wait. Many other Brisbane/QLD with the same delivery window????????
