Can anyone who has already accepted delivery take a look to see how the outboard tether covers are fitted? Are they just clipped in?

We know that the tether is present, welded into the structure of the car. Question is just how hard it is to reveal it and tidy up the hole. Is there a hole in the structure of the parcel shelf that's covered by 'carpet' that can be simply cut and then the cover clipped in? If so, it's a pretty quick fix: a few cartons of plastic covers, some Xacto knives and some day-labour to do the job...
