hey friends, at what point should I expect my final invoice to appear? I ordered on the 2/5/23 but am yet to receive anything. I don't seem to have a VIN allocated yet either. Maybe I'm just being impatient!

Yep, there's people who have been waiting since last year, but there's also people with recent orders getting VINs. How lucky do you feel?

You might want to keep an eye on inventory too, if you're flexible with your choice of colour and/or options. As discussed earlier, you could still be in for a long wait but at least you'll have a VIN and know the car is on its way.

FYI I received my first ever delivery update text and logged in and had the final invoice and everything there straight away no waiting

Yes, please see my earlier post complaining that Tesla are currently selling the de-rated UMC to most people, even though some people are getting the normally-rated tails with theirs.

No idea, sorry. Tesla clearly told me that the new UMCs have the 8A/12A tails, yet other people are still receiving 10A/15A tails and are under the impression those are the new ones. Which is correct? Who knows with Tesla?

Thanks. When I asked specifically for a way to replace my 8A/12A tails with 10A/15A tails (or swapping the whole kit over), Tesla claimed they had had no way of doing so. As recently as last week, there new-owners webinar was still advertising that the UMC is 10A/15A.

Not sure - appears US at this stage but could be Shanghai soon (if not already in production)????

Just re-read the original article, it apparently HW4 was only observed in both LR and Performance Ys, no RWD.

Also, those HW4 Ys were spotted in Fremont, and Shanghai factory has no HW4 incorporation reported as yet.

Could be 9 months until we see the changes in AU deliveries. And even then, there will be another running change in the pipeline.

You could kick the can down the road forever with this stuff.

Just received my UMC today, Took 2 days to arrive from Parts Distribution Centre Truganina. Came with 10A and 15A adapters. Guess would constitute false advertising? but not gona complain.
Funny also that the delivery came 30 mins after receiving email "your order has been shipped and may take 48hours for StarTrack tracking to show"....
Prob delayed communication as always by Tesla.

Otherwise it's just a better processor and higher res cameras - I'm not convinced there will be a big difference unless they re-introduce radar
