I'm sorryAgreed and that’s fine. But a simple apology (regarding not expecting the demand) and an update would seriously satisfy me.

It's all over the place. My buddy and I got delivery dates (next weekend) but no VINs,and almost no contact from our IDAs. Others have VINs without delivery dates. Still others have been contacted by the actual delivery center with tracking information for their car.So those of you that got dates/VINS, were they updates from last weeks email contacts from DSA's or people that hadn't been contacted yet?
Strictly speaking,I was never contacted. Just on a lark I checked my account and saw trade-in with orange ellipsis so I opened and saw the said they SMS d me instructions to self assessment of trade-in. Huh! Then under financing I saw it asked me to provide info on bank. All without human contact.inside delivery advisor called today. So those of you that got dates/VINS, were they updates from last weeks email contacts from DSA's or people that hadn't been contacted yet?
Call your local tesla center..the one closest to you. They can help. It's all over the place. My buddy and I got delivery dates (next weekend) but no VINs,and almost no contact from our IDAs. I have called Tesla 4 times now and even though my account is stuck at "A delivery specialist is reviewing your changes" (I had none), nobody can seem to unlock the page from that status. The last 2 emails from my IDA requested I update that page, but I cannot do that until someone unlocks. I think in my case things may work out OK, but you can tell TSLA is in over their heads right now. It will be OK in the long run though. I'm sure we will all look back and joke about what a cluster F* this whole thing was, while at the same time remembering what an awesome time this was an how we were a part of history. Sounds corny but I think this will be true (channeling my inner Elon)
That is probably correct take on what is going on! TSLA is very good at disclosing information when it is suitable for them. They are an IT or auto company?!
2018. At least from insurance and financial sites 2017 does not list Model 3, only 2018.Are the cars we are getting, 2017 or 2018?
I was tempted to do a like but agreeing with you is not liking the situation. This is what I meant earlier when I said if they don't correct it next year for SR M3 $35,000 they will regret the consequences. Yes, a very young company experiencing growing pains.Highly disagree with this statement. Tesla is still an incredibly immature company (whether tech or not) and still tries to run like a startup. At this scale, it’s beginning to fail them.
The website just started asking for my payment info, I called to get my final amount and while I did not have a DA yet he did confirm that I have a VIN!

Now seeing people reporting late October deliveries quoted.
At this rate, We'll be into November next week. My rate lock formally expires 11/3. Unbelievable

Why do you keep mentioning SLC? If all their customer service people work in their office in Utah (which is actually located right down the street from me in Draper, UT, at the very south end of Salt Lake County) then they have about 1 rep per 5000 orders configured currently. It’s not huge and is known more for setting up home power and solar, then car customer service. My deliver center, which is up in Salt Lake City, is actually a small service center. Lately, they don’t even answer anymore if you call and select that you are inquiring about an existing order. Just goes to voicemail. I’ve hear people get their first calls from many locations, not just utah (801) numbers.Seriously dude, call you local delivery center. Bypass SLC!
Update: there is no update.I'm sorry
