Best clay bar kit for beginners?

6 month old MY, no PPF or ceramic.

Lots of accumulated bug debris on leading surfaces.

Any recommendations on ‘entry level’ clay bar kits to use?

The Adams clay kit works very well and it's easy. I like that it comes with a grippy urethane block that you can stretch the clay over. This helps make sure you don't drop the clay bar on the ground and completely ruin it.

I used they synthetic clay bar kit from Chemical Guys. It has a foam handle and clay surface. Comes with a spray bottle of lubricant for it. I've done 2 vehicles and they both came out silky smooth. They were my first attempts with clay bar.

A synthetic "clay" mitt is the way. Nanoskin makes one. That's what I use. Much easier than actual clay.

Not sure you can really go wrong here with a mainstream clay bar. Most require a lubricating fluid that you spray as you apply. They really do a nice job. I use the basic yellow OG clay bar from chemical brothers with their lubricant.

+1. Here is the clay mitt I used to wash my older cars. It was fast and easy and made a huge difference. I finished up with two coats of Griot’s Garage 3-in-1 Ceramic wax. I used the 3-in-1 on my MYLR (along with the Griot’s Glass Sealant on the windshield, windows, and roof) as soon as I got it.
