Just got my winter rims, now im wondering if ill need TPMS.

Just got my winter rims, now im wondering if ill need TPMS.

I highly recommended them. My rear left valve gave up within a km of my house and the TPMS alerted me. I booked it home and had car jacked just in time to allowed me to remove the rim with tire. If no TPMS, it would of meant a CAA tow and more hassle if I didn't spend that little bit more.

Agreed with @5_+JqckQttqck , its well worth the extra investment. One nail in the tire/leak offsets the cost 100%. Maybe if there was a spare tire, but who actually needs those? :rolleyes: Its about the peace of mind, and if you are spending ~ 2k on winter tires and rims, add the extra $150 for TPMS is good insurance.

Also, I'm not sure what the model 3 does when you dont have tpms installed, but my volt would nag you every time you entered the car that it couldn't find the tpms and you had to acknowledge the message...every time....just for that fact alone its worth having them :cool:
