buying used 2018 MX, opinions please

We have model Y, but want little bit bigger car. I am looking at MX 2018, I know it does not have warranty. I don't mind to spend several thousands to fix if there are issues in future, but I really worry if I have to spend over 10K to fix major issues like driving unit, or replace falcon wing door. Can MX owners give me some inputs please. Thank so much.

I currently own one. I bought a third party warranty when the oem one ended. Have not had any major issues or complaints. But it seems that everyone has different experiences. So just one data point for you.

It does still have a battery and power train warranty. 8 years, unlimited miles for a 2018 model X.

I have a 2017 model X. It has had very few issues after the 4 year general warranty ended. Most recent issue was the actuator on the passenger side front door. Whopping $62 for parts and labor for mobile ranger to fix it. I am someone who sleeps fine at night with no extended warranty.

i have a 2016 X 90d, no issues
100kwh packs n non-performance drive units are pretty solid
even the problematic LDU now has coolant bypass officially n can be done DIY, so also should be trouble free
most issues get worked out early in life so i'd stay away from very low miles cars...
if u get one from teslas used inventory then u get 1yr extra warranty

The 90 is the worst pack to date, tons of issues

I would never own the x without a warranty! Something as simple as the seat controller dying is 3500

zero issues here...
only thing i've heard is bad degradation on earlier ones
mine is v3 so it still has 76kwh, ~9% degradation at 96k mi...
