Well, you ARE purchasing it in NJ - you're registering it here, right? So when the paperwork is completed by Tesla, it will be registered here - so no sales tax.If you get an inventory vehicle from another state, can you still get $0 sales tax as a credit from NJ?
I know for the EV rebate, it specifically says that the vehicle must be purchased in NJ.

Thanks, looks like each year they're cutting the incentives of rebates pretty much in half. Seems kind of ironic since car prices keep increasing cause of inflation and chip shortage. At least we have news for FY22 for the EV charger incentive
Did anyone hear from BPU that the EV charger rebate is confirmed for 2022 and not 2021?Damn so looks like there's no charger rebate this year then? Guess I'll just have to buy one and be done with it. At least I can get the federal tax rebate and I think there's a PSEG rebate on it as well?
It's in the document, says EV charger rebate for FY2022, second halfDid anyone hear from BPU that the EV charger rebate is confirmed for 2022 and not 2021?
If we buy charger in 2021. Can we claim rebate in 2022?It's in the document, says EV charger rebate for FY2022, second half
FYI. NJ FY22 started on 7/1/2021 and ends on 6/30/2022.If we buy charger in 2021. Can we claim rebate in 2022?
So we can buy the charger now and get the 250$ rebate?FYI. NJ FY22 started on 7/1/2021 and ends on 6/30/2022.
I wouldn’t count on it yet.So we can buy the charger now and get the 250$ rebate?
My order shows my NJ rebate credit. You may want to check in with you SAThe real time funding status made a big jump over the last few days and that gives me some concern. At 84% Issued & Reserved at the time of this post. My order info from Tesla does not show any rebate information. Is that expected? Do you think open Tesla orders fall under the NJ Charge Up Issued & Reserved category?
how to claim rebate?FYI. NJ FY22 started on 7/1/2021 and ends on 6/30/2022.
Thanks. I have and they have not been helpful with this. I have emailed and talked on the phone. They say it is automated and do not think they can add it post-order, but acknowledged at the time that I should be eligible and they will know when the VIN is assigned. Seems like a lame response to me. I will be checking later this week to see if they submitted the application with Charge Up for the $2000 incentive, which needs to be done by Oct 15. Has anyone received any kind of confirmation the application was submitted? My order shows my NJ rebate credit. You may want to check in with you SA
I'm pretty sure all of this is spelled out on the NJ website. Not sure why you keep asking questions here that are answered there....how to claim rebate?
Did it take less effort to answer him with a snarky response as opposed to either actually “helping” him or just not responding at all?I'm pretty sure all of this is spelled out on the NJ website. Not sure why you keep asking questions here that are answered there....
