Climate Change Denial

The Holocene, or that goofy "Anthropocene" as you call it is actually quite mild compared to the previous interglacial period. Have a look at Greenland ice core data: https://wattsupwiththat.files.wordpress.com/2012/10/49ff5-6a010536b58035970c0134840e51fd970c-pi.png

As you can see, 120,000 to 130,000 years ago the earth was considerably warmer than today. The sea levels were around 20 meters higher as well. Humans weren't belching CO2 out like we are doing today back then either. Human-caused global warming is exaggerated!
Correction - Antarctic ice core data.

No, most of your posts contain insults such as the one below. Your over emotional reactions to a scientific discussion exposes your irrationality and shocking immaturity for someone of your claimed age.
Oh, my goodness. Look at you sitting on top of your moral high horse looking down your snooty nose upon somebody with phony outrage. Slandering an atmospheric scientist is by far worse than calling somebody a pipsqueak, But that is just how the liberal-woke mind works - slander is good, pipsqueak isn't.

You must mean your hero here at around the 6:00 mark. LOL
Spencer is a "luke-warmer." He does believe there is some CO2 forcing in the recent multi-decadal warming trend. But he does not believe this means climate catastrophe. And for that, he is castigated by global warming zealots.

Here is a BBC article on a prediction of an ice-free Arctic by 2013!

How many times are you going to keep believing these "scientists,"

Let's not forget Al Gore. He got into the disappearing Arctic ice bandwagon too, He got a Nobel Piece Prize along with it!

He was claiming there was global cooling with his fake data. Only when caught, is he now admitting there is warming. LOL

You don't understand greenhouse gasses and/or natural climate variation at all.
You think this is natural?

Spencer wasn't caught at anything. He and Christy are constantly trying to improve the algorithms they write to measure global mean temperature. There is no 100% accuracy in measuring such a thing. But apparently it is accurate enough for NOAA. I bet that pisses you off!

I do not want to be Captain Obvious, but I'd like to make an observation:

This poster has no other posts then the ones in this very thread you can see.
In other words, his entire posting history == Trolling.
Quite successfully, I might add.

OK, so you want to play that silly game about trolls? I have something for all of you. Starts with a story. Back in 2017 during the Tesla Forum days, I announced to the Tesla Forum that my house flooded during Hurricane Harvey, but my Tesla made it through. A couple of inches of flood waters entered my home and did a lot of damage. But the flood waters were not high enough to damage my Model-S. I was trying to make the point that even though my house flooded, my Tesla did not. So, all was well. What I did not expect was the chorus of jubilation over the fact my house flooded. There was this absolutely sick giddiness over the fact that I suffered damage to my home. And all of those involved in the celebration had one thing in common. They were all democrat-socialist global warming zealots like all of you. You think of me of the green feller? I think of you as the troll in this great video by The Mute Gods. It is titled "Feed the Troll."

There are a lot of folks like @MitchP85D on the inter webs. You’ve got a point about feeding the troll but there’s also some benefit to responding logic and with links from reputable sources.

While it won’t help change his mind as he’s either emotionally invested in his position or the dopamine hit from trolling, it can help those on the fence reading at home come to the correct conclusions about the subject.

62 year old, likely heavily invested in fossil fuel in his retirement fund, that is my guess thus very financially and emotionally invested to want to believe global warming does not exist.

I'll go out on a limb and take a wild guess that you insulted and antagonized all of them prior to your flooding disaster. I'll also point out that you don't know the politics of any of us.

While we got 50+ inches of rain in Harvey my house didn’t flood but I did lose my roof during Ike so I understand what’s it’s like to have storm damage and I’m sorry it happened to you.

However your erroneous position on climate change makes it hard to feel sorry for you. The same way it’s hard to feel for someone who denies COVID is anti-mask and anti-vac and ends up in the ICU.

Did you know this specific attribution study of Harvey show climate change contributed an extra 20% to that storm? Would you still have flood if it had dropped 10 less inches of rain?

That’s one of the things I like to point out about climate change everyone is going to pay one way or another. In fact you already have.

You can do all kinds of fun things with a graph - especially with the ordinate to dramatize a parameter you are interested in. Please note that you are attaching the Keeling instrument measured data to the end of proxy data. Proxy data will never pick up the short-term fluctuations that instrument data can pick up. But with that stated, do you know what the affect of what you are showing is? I'll tell you. We have gone from 3 molecules of CO2 to 4 molecules of CO2 in 10,000 molecules of air. And we are being led to believe that the one almighty CO2 molecule is the primary driver of climate change. "Complete delusional nonsense" says Piers Corbyn.

See this is what I mean about physics denial. We’ve known for over a century how CO2 interacts with light but here you are denying straight up physics.

The world warms and cools, warms and cools, warms and cools. Global warming zealots like you think it only warms.

Indeed it does, in geologic time. So what? As I and others have pointed out here many times, the issue isnt if the climate can change without human intervention, its what the consequences to civilization will be, and if we can do anything about it. The fact that it is man-made is, an an odd way, good news, because it means we can do something about it. And we need to.

As for being zealots .. people in glass houses.

I've always noticed this about you democrat socialists. Whenever somebody, somewhere collects data that does not fall in line with the human-caused global warming mantra, you will do all you can to slander that person. That doesn't fly with folks like me who've worked in the field of meteorology for 40+ years.

Has anybody mentioned their political leanings here? Why do you think people here are "democrat socialists" (whatever you think that means). And, again, you accuse others of slander when so many of your posts contain personal insults aimed at those who disagree with you.

I wasn't trying to get anybody to feel sorry for me. I was simply just trying to make a point to my fellow Tesla owners how lucky I was that my Model-S P85D made it through the Harvey flood unscathed. And that my house was just a secondary concern by comparison. The reaction by my fellow Tesla owners had taken me back. I didn't expect that. It truly amazes me to see how agitated some people get over a mere political disagreement. I notice this about those on the left. They wish both financial and physical harm onto their political foes.

I bet being without a roof was a bitch!

By the way, here is a graph of global hurricane frequency. There is no discernable trend of increasing tropical cyclones across the earth.
