Just stopped by the LIttleton service center. I got to see my car. Super excited to pick it up on Wednesday!
Also the Tesla semi is cool too, but it isn’t mine.

SuperFreq, congrats on your car. Tomorrow can't come soon enough I'm sure. I ordered the exact same model except I opted for the white interior. I ordered on 8/27 and had a VIN on 8/28. I was contacted via email by my ISA last week and told to expect delivery this week. I updated all of my information on the Tesla website and didn't here anything else. I then called the SC today and they said it should be delivered this weekend from CA and scheduled a pickup for Monday. Now, I need to find somewhere to tint windows and put a clear bra on. If this winter was like last year, I may not need my winter wheels. I'll probably go with 18" with blizzaks or x-ice from tirerack...just in case.

Please let me know if you had any issues during delivery. Mine VIN is 079XXX and I though I read somewhere that yours is 100XXX, just wondering if there was any differences. Thanks in advance and congrats again!

Picked up my Blue/White Non-Perf AWD today. Spent about 45 minutes in the owners lounge due to being super early. Didn't want to be late due to Denver traffic. Of course there was none. 20 minutes or so for the transaction and back to Colorado Springs I went. What a car! I test drove the RWD, but this puppy has a lot more punch out of the gate. I'm very happy I spent the extra 4k for the AWD.

Btw, the only non-perfection we noticed was a small indent on the inside of one of the doors. It almost looks like someone pushed really hard into the door material with a fingernail. Nothing I'm torn up about but I wish I would have seen it at the deliver center...

I'm picking up on Monday. I'll have the checklist available so I'll know what to look for. Hopefully, I'll be pleasantly surprised.
You'll see some traffic in this string about places for clear bras, ceramic, and tint. I have used RM window tint int he past, but there is a place called Colorado detail in Denver that specializes in Teslas, he had 4 new M3s when I was there Friday. The owner is Steve. Even as a Springs resident, I am headed to Steve.

Standroid.. sorry to pick on you, but I need to vent (or just stay off these forums). I’m a non owner, reserved November 2016, ordered 6/27, Blue, AWD, Aeros, No AP, Tesla loan, no trade, and live in Colorado Springs. Haven’t heard a single peep yet and still showing that damn sept - nov. Now I’m all in favor of waiting my fair turn, but I keep seeing people who reserved months/years later with similar awd configs getting vins and delivery dates.. it’s really starting to make my blood boil (in a first world problem kind of way) the way Tesla is handling this. Am I missing something here? Why the H is tesla giving so many people their cars before those that have waited longer? And I’m not complaining about P3D’s.. it’s other LR AWD buyers... ugh.

Was that you driving down Tejon this morning? Saw a blue 3 for just a moment! Such a great color

Thanks! I've asked about getting tint, clear bra, ceramic and his appointments are out until November. I may ask about just getting tint and clear bra for now.

Pretty sure we spoke in the waiting room yesterday-

To answer other questions, most of the cars I saw were white interior, aero wheels. I changed to a white interior in mid-August and within 2 weeks had been matched to a car, so I am guessing I got lucky with the right combination of colors, since I was a July 2017 reservation.

I was scheduled to take delivery of my Model 3 AWD Performance PUP, EAP, FSD with multicoat-red paint and the black interior on September 7, but Tesla called me and asked if I wanted to take delivery on September 6 (which I agreed to). I wasn't really chomping at the bit, since I have had my Model S P85 for over five years, so I already know how exactly cool actually driving/owning a Tesla is. Still, my old 2013 Model S doesn't have any of the auto pilot hardware, parking sensors, or even self folding mirrors (it is VIN 9567). Its pretty old school!

Speaking of tint, does anyone have any opinion on Huper vs Llumar vs Rayno?

I'm looking for both front and back wide windows as well as full rear. I'm be quoted about equal in price on the Llumar CTX30 vs Rayno S9 (S5 is a little cheaper). Huper Optik Nano-Ceramic 30 is about $200 more. Colorado Detail says they prefer the Rayno and All American Window Tinting offers the Huper or Llumar. Both appear to be highly regarded, have tinted the 3, and will do the rear in one piece.

I like the Huper on my S. All American did a great job (even if their waiting room is a little skanky)

SuperFreq, how did the delivery go today? Hope all went well. I should be getting mine on Monday.
Delivery went pretty smoothly. The DS did a good job talking through the tech, which I was well informed of because of my obsession. They seemed busy and there was a handoff to another DS to finish with the paperwork, which took an extra 15min or so, no biggie.
My car is in the 63xxx VIN range, I don’t think the VIN has anything to do with the build date though. They seem pretty random.
The car was clean and had no noticeable defects. It is the P3D+ so it is scary fast and rearranges your organs at full acceleration. I am very happy with the car!
They had an “energy specialist” there when I did my pickup and he offered consulting for solar installation, which was weird at first, but was a cool idea. We scheduled an appointment with him to talk about solar options.
Overall a great experience. I did just realize that I never setup my insurance before I left . Just did that now.
Zamboni52, I hope your delivery goes as well as mine did!

That’s great! After reading all of the delivery nightmare stories its refreshing to hear a good one. My VIN is 79XXX but like you said it doesn’t really represent a later build date. What was your build date BTW? Funny you mentioned scary fast...I test drove the Blue P3D+ at Park Meadows last Monday afternoon and ordered that night...I was sold. I just had my NEMA 14-50 outlet installed tonight so I’m ready for Monday. Congrats again and I’ll see you around town.
