I'm a non-Tesla owner in Los Angeles, wanting the base model. I ordered a Model 3 online the evening of the announcement, and my RN# states March 31. My confirmation email from Tesla arrived April 1, 9:59PM. Which do I use to get a better handle on when I'll be invited to configure? Or, is it all just a guessing game, in any case? (Concerned about the tax incentives, getting the charger installed, etc., is why I'm concerned). Thanks.

Log into your Tesla account and it should give different estimates depending on configuration. Since you want the base model which hasn’t even been produced yet, it’s really a guess at this point. It’s supposed to be early this year, but could slip now that the ramp is slower.

Yes, when I log in it states "Early 2018" but I guess the nuance of that compared to "Jan-Mar 2018" for the First Production long range with upgrade escapes me. It's still a waiting/guessing game at this point.
