We had exactly the same thing happen, and today we received notification that our CHEAPR application was ineligible because it was submitted after the 10 day deadline. CHEAPR Project Coordinator told me to take it up with Tesla. I am not hopeful at this point.

This is so funny. It's your State that changed the cutoff date on you guys. Let them pony up. I think it was terrrible of them to pull the rebate suddenly like they did.

California on the other hand says you now have to make under a certain $ amount to qualify for their $2500 rebate; and if you do, you have to chose between getting the cash or getting an HOV sticker unless you are really low income and can prove it. For areas of the State without major highways and HOV lanes, not a choice I guess but for those urban people who could use the rebate due to higher cost of living in these areas and could really make use of the HOV lanes I think it's unfair to have this be an either or type of thing. Also don't feel it's fair to those wealthier individuals who pay more of the tax into the pot for pay for this to be excluded from getting rebates for buying EVs. To me that's just wrong.

This is not what happened in our case. We took delivery on 9/29 which was before the change that was made to the CHEAPR Program. CHEAPR requires that Tesla submit the application within 10 days of delivering the car. Tesla submitted our application on day 13, resulting in our application being rejected. This one is on Tesla plain and simple. Based on the description, JCM22 is going to get rejected because of Tesla's error as well.

I got an email fro. Cheapr program saying my rebate was approve 10/12 and I should expect payment within 10 calendar days. As of today still no money. Anyone have similar experience ? Should I be concerned?

Also. I took delivery 9/30 at mt kisco and still dont have my ct plates yet...temp plates expire 10/30!

So, my delivery went off about as well as could be expected. There were two scratches, one on each front door, and some weird paint drip-type things on one door. It took about 2 1/2 hours total - they had a bunch of deliveries that day, and our delivery specialist and shuttle driver were both from other stores. Our car was in a lot with at least 80 other cars. So it looks like they're working through "delivery hell" at Mt. Kisco.

They honored the lower price on the MVPA, not the higher price quoted on the website. And yes, they accepted my personal check.

Picture's in another thread. It was worth the wait! I feel like I'm in the future.

I was rescheduled from 9/29 to 11/1. Hadn’t heard anything from the delivery advisor despite texts, calls to a voice mailbox that is full. Nobody picks up the phone at Mt Kisco. Spent two hours on the phone to find out that the car isn’t even at the dealer yet. Not only that, but it is going to sit there for four days after it arrives before i can pick it up. If this is the experience with the company when they don’t have my money yet.....

Did you finally reach someone at Mt Kisco? I"m scheduled for 11/16 and the guy who answered in the finance department had no idea that Teslas were being distributed there. Was asking to see if they accepted a personal check.

I took delivery in Mt. Kisco today: AWD, black.

Went fine:
1) Scheduled for 11am. Waited for an hour before they were ready for me to do anything (sign paperwork).
2) After paperwork, another hour before the car was ready.
3) Drove half a mile to the lot where you actually get the car. Not clear where to go - it's basically a warehouse by the train tracks with a big parking lot full of Teslas. Saw a guy with Tesla shirt and an iPad. He was very helpful and got another guy to point me to my car and give me my orientation.
4) Some very minor paint issues, *slight* misalignment on the chargeport door. Panel-gaps look good, otherwise. No other issues.
5) Punched it *a little* on the way out of the parking lot: impressive. Punched it *a lot* merging on the Saw Mill: Just wow. My first Tesla - these cars are fantastic.

FYI, the rep told me they had 84 deliveries scheduled for today, and 200 scheduled for tomorrow (Saturday). It's going to be *nuts* there tomorrow.

BTW, how did you pay? Did they take a personal check or was it a bank check?

I am in the same boat. Supposed to pick up today at 5.30. After lot of calls and wait, someone calls and tells me that the truck that carries the car is broken and hasn't reached Mt.kisco yet. I am extremely frustrated. And the delivery advisor dares that I can cancel my order if I can't wait.

Let's start naming names of these employees with no integrity at Tesla here on this forum. "Truck is broken". Can't wait for the next excuse.

The problem is that you can't be sure they are their real names. I don't trust them anymore. Going to wait for a few more days and will cancel my order. I will think about a EV purchase when they have more cars to choose from the dealership. Also, anymore competition will bring the price as well. For some reason they are calling my reservation as a special order where nothing's special in it. Its blue AWD, 18",FSD and EAP. The way they are dragging it, I don't believe that they have the intention of delivering it before the year end.

Been following this thread for a while. Hoping I wouldn't have a story to share, I was wrong.

TL:DR - Had VIN and Delivery Date. VIN got reassigned few days before delivery because my DA went on vacation.

Let me preface, I understand the enormity of the challenge Tesla Delivery Agents are facing. I can't really blame the employees for the situation they've been put in. But what a cluster this whole debacle is.

Ordered Aug 2018, after taking a test drive. Amazing car. I have a Trade-in and Financing a portion. Was assigned Oct-Dec Est. Delivery Date.

Someone from Mt Kisco called and me and thanked me for the order, said contact him anytime with questions. He never was to be heard from again.

End of Q3/Sept. rolls around and I get the text that they "Matched" me. I reply YES and obviously got rejected a few days later. The taste in my mouth sour'd a little bit after that. But fine I'll wait it out.

One month later, 10/23 I get a text, "Hey This is JohnDoe from Tesla, your car is ready and your scheduled delivery date is 11/6 at Mt Kisko (that is how he spelled it) I will reach out to you soon to finalize the paperwork". 20 seconds later he sent a second text that said, "Here is your VIN xxxxx for 3rd Party Lending". Replied instantly with an affirmative response, did the required steps in my account page. The VIN never appears on my Account page, this was my initial indicator something was up.

Waited a ~week, no word from JohnDoe, so I call the Delivery Call Center, I get some story that they see the VIN in the notes on my account, but it's not assigned correctly, they will reach out to my Delivery Advisor fix it up because they were unable to.

Waited another week, now it's one week from delivery. Still heard nothing from my Delivery Advisor, so I decide to call again ( 1 hour on hold). Same story, the VIN is still not assigned correctly. They tell me I need to contact my DA immediately so he can fix it up, as the VIN was still available. They gave me his email and told me to put URGENT in the subject, "He'll see it that way". He insisted he was unable to help me and my DA would have to do any changes. After I hung up I proceeded to email JohnDoe with URGENT in the subject. But immediately get his Out Of Office message saying he's been out for the past week and won't be back until a day before my delivery.

Called back again the next day, 2 hours on hold. The story today was the VIN is gone from my account. They could see it in "Deleted VINs". He checked and the VIN was already reassigned to someone else. So I asked if I should show up on 11/6 or not, Ive already taken the day off and made arrangements etc., he said he will contact me on 11/5 and see if they can match me again. WTF?!

My intuition based on comments from the Agents, aside from the date you ordered, you are prioritized on how risky your transaction is perceived. Trade-In is ding number one, Financing is ding number two. These all add complications to the transaction that could cause delays. So say someone has cash and is an aggressive squeaky wheel, guess what Mr. Quiet-TradeIn-Financing guy.... Might not always be the case, but some iteration of this is happening I think.

My temp NY plates expired 10/30 and I still dont have my CT plates yet. When I called mt. Kisco they said it's the slow DMV and to wait a few days. Anyone experienced the same ? If so, how long did it take you to get your plates.

Mt. Kisco will probably wait until the last minute to go to the CT DMV, and then fedex overnight the registration to you. This is what happened to both of my sons. They got their registrations from Mt. Kisco at about day 30/31 after picking up their cars. In my case, I emailed Mt. Kisco at day 28 after picking up my car. They emailed back a little over a day later saying that the car insurance I had provided at time of delivery had expired and the CT DMV had denied registration (delivery day was 9/24, insurance expired, and was renewed, 10/15. Never occurred to me that they'd wait more than 3 weeks to register the car). You'd think they would have contacted me about this sooner, rather than waiting until I contacted them. Anyway, I emailed them the new insurance info, and received the registration 6 days later.

Anyway, I think it's slow Mt. Kisco, not the slow DMV. They probably went to the DMV right after you called them.

I actually got the 3k deposited to my account a few days ago. They did make the 10 day deadline, by about 30 minutes....

Finally just got my plates as well this morning even though temps expired on 10/29.

your lucky you got the 3k, ct has since lowered that rebate to 2k for eligible model 3's. And that fund is drying up fast too. hoping the 6-10 weeks delivery is real based on my order stats .. enjoy your car

Sounds familiar. I was supposed to take delivery Nov 2 from Mt Kisco but on Nov 1 when I called to confirm it was there I was told shipment was late, wouldn't arrive till next week. Maybe truck did break down, or something.

A little concerned now, because they rescheduled me for Nov 8th but today my Tesla Account changed... It no longer shows Mt Kisco, delivery date or VIN... It has just gone back to the generic "Estimated Delivery by Nov' 2018"

...did the truck drive off a cliff?
