Connecticut (Mt. Kisco) AWD delivery

Whole thing is total bs. I was fine waiting for the additional month which was quoted to be the end of my delivery window. What I resent is having my time wasted while scrambling around changing my plans for a delivery that was realistically never going to happen in the first place.

Dual motor black.

For those you that have had deliveries cancelled this weekend at Mt. Kisco, what were your configs?

I took delivery in Mt. Kisco today: AWD, black.

Went fine:
1) Scheduled for 11am. Waited for an hour before they were ready for me to do anything (sign paperwork).
2) After paperwork, another hour before the car was ready.
3) Drove half a mile to the lot where you actually get the car. Not clear where to go - it's basically a warehouse by the train tracks with a big parking lot full of Teslas. Saw a guy with Tesla shirt and an iPad. He was very helpful and got another guy to point me to my car and give me my orientation.
4) Some very minor paint issues, *slight* misalignment on the chargeport door. Panel-gaps look good, otherwise. No other issues.
5) Punched it *a little* on the way out of the parking lot: impressive. Punched it *a lot* merging on the Saw Mill: Just wow. My first Tesla - these cars are fantastic.

FYI, the rep told me they had 84 deliveries scheduled for today, and 200 scheduled for tomorrow (Saturday). It's going to be *nuts* there tomorrow.

CT CHEAPR rebate remaining funding dropped from $1,240,868 @ 4pm on 9/27 to $1,095,368 @ noon on 9/29.. not bad as I was worried and the steep drop occured in the last 24 hrs .. from 1,230,368 to 1,095,368. Sounds like it might survive for another month. roughly 45 M3s in 24 hrs.

Congrats and thanks for sharing the details.. sounds like at least half the Fri deliveries are CT bound as the CT CHEAPR rebated dropped quite a bit and I hope not all the 200 slotted for Sat are CT bound.. then many of us are screwed :).. if CT deliveries are 25%-30% of the 200 then it might give us a chance to get the $3500 for another month I think with only fund remaining for 300ish M3's.

My delivery experience yesterday (9/30) at Mt Kisco

It was fantastic (2.5 hour wait time):
* I was scheduled for 2:30pm. Rented a one way rental and checked in around 1:15pm
* There were about 150-170 people waiting there, thank god for good weather
* From what I saw there were at least 10 plus doing paperwork from what I could see the number of diff Tesla folks came and called people upstairs and in the temp area for checking in the service area
* They called me at about 3:30pm so an hour behind, after paperwork, they took us to a lot half mile away.
* Was directed to one single tent and the first available guy with Tesla shirt asked me for my paperwork. He went in to check the car, did a preliminary cleanup and called me about 5 minutes later for a walk through and to give me my orientation.
* One minor panel gap issue in the back was duly noted. No other issues.
* Considering everything that has been reported here and elsewhere, I have no complains. I am so looking forward to enjoying the car.

Cheers to all and good luck with your car.

I emailed today Tesla to get an update before my delivery on Oct 8 post delay from Sep 24. Still have VIN/MVPA.
Was told that the car will now arrive no earlier than Oct 15. In early Sep I was told Sep 21, then Oct 8, and now Oct 15.
DA (my 3rd one in as many weeks incidentally) is saying the car is on his way to Chicago, funnily enough that's exactly what I was told 2 weeks ago
That was 1/2 hour after calling the delivery line and being told all set, looking good for Oct 8.:D
Anyway, they have no real idea....
In an interesting twist, as I stopped by at my detailer last week picking up another car, he was working on a Blue/white AWD M3 with a Vin 60 numbers away from mine (97Xxx), they must have been produced within hours of each other, That car was delivered at Mt Kisco on Thu Sep 27, mine will now be Oct 26 as I am travelling, fun times...
The urge to cancel is very strong, no matter how good the car is, they truly have no idea how to run a client facing business.
There is finally the small matter of CHEAPR disappearing by the time it is delivered, it is OK tho, the DA told me my car has been marked as "Hot" after multiple delays, I am sure that will work out well :)

Not a CT delivery but I ended up stopping by Mount Kisco today since I live 10 min from there. I have an Oct 5 delivery date with no VIN. Originally had a 9/24 delivery date with VIN and MVPA. They were clueless in there. Seems like they hired a bunch of clueless people for the rush. They told me to just wait to get a text.

I then proceeded to call Tesla and they were more aware of what was going on but told me there weren't any VINs to match my Blue/White car or Red/White which I didn't mind as well. She told me if I don't get a car by the 5th that there will be more VINs available to match in 2-3 weeks. Um What? Why don't they just produce peoples cars. I already paid my down payment and that was when my original delivery got cancelled and my VIN disappeared.

I wonder what the factors are for good vs bad experiences are....

I ordered LR AWD black on black with EAP. Early sept. Not a reservation holder. No trade. Put about 12k down and secured financing for the rest (good for 30 days). Got the infamous ambiguous txt on 9/25. Matched to VIN 9/26. The delivery specialist called me asking if I can take delivery by 9/30 if they matched me with a car and I said "hell yeah - i will pawn my first born to get all my paperwork in order"..kidding. Made a dozen calls between telsa, banks and insurance and picked up my car at 11am in mt. Kisco. I'm a CT resident. I waited about 30 mins, had all my paperwork in order and drove off in my perfect car by noon...I named her Tessa. Love her !!!! Now my jealous husband wants one.

For those from CT make sure to bring a voided check for the rebate. Also unless you are good a DIY ask them to put the front plates mount on for you.

Best of luck to everyone !! I hope to see more owners around in the future...suck it gas.

Good to know about voided check for rebate, thank you.
I think good or bad experience is just luck of the draw. As stated above a similar car to mine seems to have made it OK and in time and they were going to the same place, built within hours/minutes of each other.
This is the randomness of the process that creates issues for many of us the customers.
This shouldn't be the case. Cars should follow the same logistics route and get there on a set schedule.
As Tesla keeps growing/maturing, they will have to stop making excuses and behave like a normal client facing/caring business. They wanted a different distribution model, from where I am seating, it is not working.
I loved the home test drive and the order process on the web but it all came apart when it mattered ie delivery.
For the record, no trade-in, cash payment, EAP/FSD/19 so should also be a very straightforward process.
The only person I could ever reach out was part of the delivery team at Mt Kisco, my 3 DAs have come and gone with no useful info whatsoever...

My car delivery date is on 10/31. Hopefully CHEAPR CT Rabate survives till then.. fingers crossed.

I think you should be fine as the number of rebates reduced quite a bit to around $50K/day for the past few days.. so another 25-30 days shouldn't be a problem as we know Tesla don't have much inventory left to sell at this point unless cars get shipped from the factory. good luck.

Could you please share 1) your config 2) dates and 3) how did you know about the 10/31 delivery date ? did you get a text or DA called ?
