I ordered my wall charger for my May 31 MY order the first week in June and it was installed before the end of June. It’s September and I still don’t have my car. But I do have a fancy green nightlight in my garage!
So sad. Maybe you should post on Nextdoor that nearby Teslas are welcome to come by for a visit and a brief charge.

Hello my VINless friends! Yes, it’s true, as some of you noticed in my signature this morning. I received my VIN!

Thanks to those of you who noticed and congratulated me. I appreciate you!

TL/DR;
I got an email from Tesla at 1:20 AM, inviting me to complete my order. I didn’t see it until 5 AM. I clicked the magic blue button and got my 265XXX VIN. As a long timer in this thread, I have a responsibility to tell you guys what happened. I got my third vaccine this morning (so maybe being vaccinated DOES matter!!) and this is the first chance I’ve had to write this post.

When I ordered the car on May 31, the EDD was two weeks. I ordered the wall charger the next day and it was installed before the end of June. Since then, along with the rest of you, my EDD has fluctuated from two weeks in July, Oktoberfest, and then holding at 9/11 -30 since 8/29.

Yesterday, I stopped at the Tesla gallery in Manhasset, Long Island to see if I could get anyone to look at the soft match system so I could get a better idea if I would get my car this month. The sales guy said that they don’t have access to the manufacturing system and that the best guess would be the EDD that’s in my account. He said he gets asked the questions all the time but the sales people don’t have access to get better data. He verified that my profile is complete and that I should upload my insurance doc as soon as I get it. I've emailed my agent and I'll have it Monday.

Being in a state of VINlessness has been agony...almost to the point that I wish I didn't join this thread. I said ALMOST! You guys are the most intelligent, incisive, funny, supportive and respectful bunch and definitely kept me up to date with my farking car. My wife thinks I'm obsessed so I don't recount what happened in the forum to her anymore. And then, since i don't say anything, she has been asking if anything is new with the car!! So I guess she's obsessed by proxy.

From order date to VIN was 103 days. The magic email came at 1:20am (east coast time) so there's proof that it can come outside of business hours.

Here's my table of EDDs since June (I know, you're shocked I kept score....):

Congratulations! I just knew that you had to be getting close when I saw your EDD days narrowing this last week or so, and I’m so happy for you and you’re family. I stumbled upon this forum two months after my order date and the timing was perfect because being on here the last month has been therapeutic and extremely informative. Good luck on the delivery and we want to see some pics of your new Tesla with a happy dog in the back!

I have a VIN and an estimated date of 9/25-28. I fully on board and ready to take delivery (no financing). As those of you who have been here with me know, I need a car so if the MY gets deVINned to give it to a west coast customer so tesla can count the delivery in the quarter or if the car has EOQ quality issues so that I have to reject it, I have looked at Polestar and their site shows cars with popular builds are available immediately! And Polestar (volvo's lux brand of EV) has the $7500 tax credit. Just sayin'
“Just sayin” is my dad’s #1 catchphrase. That made me laugh and made my day 🤩

It's been 99 days for me, no VIN yet. EDD changed today to 10/28-11/17, so potentially another 60+ days to go. I've gone from an EDD in late August, expecting a car by Labor Day, to now not getting one until Halloween, or maybe even Thanksgiving. It's ridiculous, especially when lots people who ordered the EXACT same car on the same date as me or later, already have them or are getting their cars now just because they live in the "right" geographic area.
I absolutely cannot believe you don’t have a VIN yet. The only hang up I can see is the white interior, otherwise there’s no reason that your car shouldn’t be on a truck with ours!! I’m sorry you’re still waiting 😢

For those wondering about expired financing, this is the first time we were actually notified by Tesla that the financing had indeed expired and we actually had to go in an resubmit it. So, that leads me to believe they don’t just keep renewing the terms or doing the credit pulls “behind our backs” or with no permission. I think they’ve realized it’s clearly taking longer than 60 days for these cars to be delivered
Mine should have expired over 30 days ago. I have credit monitoring and they have not pulled my credit again to renew. Mine shows as it's still a valid offer. My guess is Tesla is talking to the banks about easing the 60 days because of what t you said, they know they can't deliver before the offers expire.

Thought you would like this @BitJam

Yes, it's very exciting but El Paso, TX is still much closer to me for service. I'm hoping this will help NM see the error in their ways sooner.

Car came perfect. Didn't find anything wrong at all. Such a fun day driving. Home delivery was cool. Lady dropped it off was there for about 10 minutes. Worth the wait!

Ya are posts must have passed in posting MA insurance info. MA has some awesome laws... For a long time their were like only a handful of insurance companies licensed in MA and rates were stupid... Only in the last 10yrs or so do you see the Progressive and Geico type insurance companies get into the state with some licensing tweaks the state made. It did help lower insurance rates so no complaints.

My SA already scheduled me for 9/21 delivery on his end even though I haven't gotten a schedule delivery email/text message because ya know I can't complete my profile... He is out until Thursday but I sent him the insurance contact info he needed to get the reg all squared away. I expect to get the final payment request next week once he uploads the info. Undecided if I will do EFT or bring a cashier's check on delivery day...

I'm taking delivery at the Peabody location.
Awesome! I'm getting mine on Tuesday. Still need confirmation of the final amount to bring with me and annoyed that I scheduled it for 5 before realizing I have something I need to do via zoom at 6. I emailed about switching to 4 since it was also available but never heard back. Oh well, I'll just make it work.
