I may try that later this week. I was really hopeful that I would see someone on this thread post about a VIN notification today, but it seems like whatever the bottleneck is will continue for a bit. On the plus side, I haven’t been this anxious about getting something since I was 8 and waiting for my NES for Christmas. I have to admit, it’s nice to be really excited about a new toy again.

I’m pretty sure that the SA job has to be the worst job ever haha. You have all of us blowing them up over something they have no control over or even information about, and all they do is tell us to wait and be patient.
Howdy all. Drove past the Chicago SC on Grand earlier today and saw a lot full of Y’s and several more being unloaded. Everything in the lot had a manuf. date of 5/7ish. Anybody have the rosetta stone on what the colored dot stickers mean? They were different on every vehicle.

I think the dots mean red for people who are active participants in the Current Delivery Times thread on TMC = hold off on sharing VIN till the last week. All the other colors mean share VIN with customer immediately.
This particular vehicle is undoubtedly stuck in limbo then. LOL

Thanks for the info! I dropped by the Westmont service center and didn't see any new Ys parked outside. Another user (AnndyBo) noticed a lot of new Ys parked outside of the Schaumburg SC. Those must be the SCs that receive and store cars (or Westmont is lagging behind).

There are easily thousands of MYs sitting at service centers waiting on something. I counted 22 MYs at the Richmond, VA SC today. All were LR made late April & early May. Most were inspected on May 11 or 12 but still in protective wrap. What in the heck is going on?
I just received a text that says in anticipation of receiving your VIN, please sent a photo of the current trade-in odometer... Hope this is a good sign..

Reached out to my SA at the Dublin, CA SC. He is super responsive but was not aware of any software update holding back deliveries. He just mentioned it takes time between truck shipments, inspections, and vehicle prep before delivery. He said end of June delivery seems “feasible” for my 5/9 order. No mention of Q2 production being sold out.

I went by on Sunday and saw the same thing. A lot of speculation here about firmware changes. I ordered 19 April and was told mid to end of June by SA at SC on Broad Street. Looks like he may have been correct. My dates are now showing 15-30 June. Guess we will see.

My SA told me (unprompted) today that they had vehicles on the lot but they were waiting on a software update. So there’s another one.
Well, in an effort to save my sanity, I cut myself off from this forum and checking my dates for some time. However, just checked and noticed a few things so thought I'd share...
- Estimated Delivery is missing. Don't just mean the dates; all of it, "Estimated Delivery" text included.
- Change Configuration (or whatever it said) link is gone. There used to be a link above the Cancel Order section to update order/change config. It's no longer there.
- Add Full Self-Driving button added. Maybe I just didn't notice this before, but there's now a section that says: "Your Model Y comes with Autopilot. Upgrade to Full Self-Driving before delivery"
