When was your order date? I'm going to MK as well, but haven't bothered to call them since I don't even have an estimate yet.Just got an update from Mt. Kisco. Its not much.
"Right now we are just waiting for a vehicle to be produced for your order. With your completed profile, you are already in a prioritized queue which will allow you to have your vehicle quicker than if you had not."
I'm pretty sure we all have Schrodinger's Model Y at the moment.
I ordered May 14th and have June 17-30 estimated delivery for Tampa.Does anyone from Florida see actual dates instead of the “X - X Weeks” bullsh*t?
Hit up your SA with that question. Online it states all parties named on the vehicle registration need to be present. I don't know if your Mom can do an electronic signature or has to put down a physical, wet signature on paper in-person.Hi all,
Been lurking here a while, refreshing my Tesla account page over and over again just like the rest of you! Finally decided to join in the fun. Ordered my MY on 4/30. Trading in a 2016 Kia Sorento (what a POS that was/is) and got financing through Wells Fargo. As many of the rest of you have experienced, my SA has been absolutely horrible in responding to my inquiries. One trick you can use to get them to respond after you've been ignored with a "Are you okay?" message. If you apply a little genuine concern for their well-being, assuming their lack of response being due to something being wrong, you are much more likely to get a response. Unfortunately this little "trick" only works once typically, so use it wisely ;-)
One question I do have for the community here is regarding trade-ins. My mother is actually a cosigner on my current vehicle, but will not be on the Tesla. I've been told that she will need to be present for the pick up day as she needs to sign off on the trade in or whatever. Is that true or is there some way to handle it where she can be remote? She lives out of state so I'd rather not have to worry about getting her in town on short notice once delivery day is here.
Doesnt the car come with the USB?yep.
ive installed the charge outlet, bought mudflaps, storage tray, USB stick, and PPF for the door. just need a car to use it all. LOL
Where are u located?I ordered on 5/13 and my dates started out 4 to 11 weeks. Over the weekend it was 6/18 to 6/30. Two days ago it went down to 6/11 to 6/30
Drupal does regular releases to core and the contributed pieces of code. Just like every piece of software its iterative. The last core patch was released 2 weeks ago on 8 and the last code on D9 was pushed just a day ago or so. Open source software has a much different lifecycle, and what I'm talking about doesn't include what the team actually working on it is doing. I think what we're seeing with the portal pages going down is load based. And they're probably not interested in paying the increased infrastructure costs to support mass click events where people are constantly checking the status of their order. Just my experience, if I were the product owner I'm not sure I'd invest in infrastructure for a short term thing. Thanks for the clarification. I said Drupal 8 was ancient because it was released about 6 years ago. In my job, we do not maintain any software that's older than 2 years old. We improve and update constantly since we work on 2 week sprints.
4/28. MK actually contacted me on this. When was your order date? I'm going to MK as well, but haven't bothered to call them since I don't even have an estimate yet.
Look at the RN # increase rate in the last 8 weeks.Drupal does regular releases to core and the contributed pieces of code. Just like every piece of software its iterative. I'm sure you'll get yours before me. CA is always last to receiveLol, ordered same day, we must have been only hours apart, 114675
5 hours later... no reply yet..Just sent the following e-mail to ordersupport.. (I used my Reservation number in the subject line)
Good Morning,
I ordered a Model Y Long Range 6 weeks ago (4/13) and I have not received a VIN number as of right now and my estimated delivery has shown a generic 5 - 9 weeks range for weeks now. As it has been 6 weeks already and it usually takes 2 weeks from VIN to delivery, I wonder if I can still expect delivery within that timeframe? I also wonder which SA is assigned to my order as I have not received any contact from Tesla so far. There have been rumors and news stories of delays due to firmware updates and containment holds and I wonder if my car could be one of those affected? My color/wheel combination does not seem to be uncommon as I saw several in that combination at the Tampa location recently. Any information would be appreciated.
Thanks
Let's see what they'll reply back..
Understood! Just to clear things up, I use OpenSource Software on the daily (Ubuntu as OS, Apache Beam for data pipelines, Luigi, Presto DB, Apache Kafka, e.t.c). I still think that Tesla is moving away from Drupal, otherwise they would have invested a lot more into the account portal's infrastructure.Drupal does regular releases to core and the contributed pieces of code. Well, at least they're starting to be more realistic?LOL the Model Y order page says 3-13 weeks estimated delivery if u order today.. WOW
Key word there is EstimatedWell, at least they're starting to be more realistic?
My experience is that a drive over to our SC is better than waiting.5 hours later... no reply yet..
Three weeks? Maybe they’re starting over with a new reservation system and all previous orders are now obsolete. That 13-week estimate seems accurate though.LOL the Model Y order page says 3-13 weeks estimated delivery if u order today.. WOW
Try calling your local service center directly. They may even assign you another SA. If you choose option #4, it'll direct you a delivery specialist. I doubt you'll get much more information until they release these cars from whatever firmware update/containment hold thing that's going on right now.My SA is still MIA. I get that they "have as much info as we do" but what is their job then? If the answer is "refresh this random page every hour" (which I do), why even assign a SA? I just want some transparency.
