Current Delivery Times

I don’t get it either. I thought I was going to have to wait till at least end of August. I still wonder if completing the credit application immediately affects this delivery time somehow. I had a 14 day turn around which seems to be very fortunate after reading through this forum.
I mean, maybe? I have seen a lot of people do that only to have their credit application expire because of how long it's taken?

Has anyone figured out the rhyme or reason to Tesla's delivery process? Because logically they would produce and deliver cars according to the order date. BUT I see a lot of people who are outside of California getting their MYLR wayyyyyy before us in California who ordered a long time ago. (I know there are some of you out of state who have been waiting awhile as well, but Ive seen a trend on this and other threads where CA people ordering in April or early May are still waiting and those in other states who ordered late June or July already getting a VIN or delivery).

So here is the latest from Mt. Kisco...

"Thank you for reaching out regarding the Tesla Model Y order you placed on June 19th. There will be a delivery specialist assigned to your delivery on the day you come in to pick it up but in the meantime please feel free to email this address with any questions you have. This inbox is monitored by myself as well as others to ensure we get back to you within 48 hours. At this point I am not seeing anything additional regarding when your Model Y will be built/delivered. Our systems team is currently working on making additional updates to provide a more accurate delivery estimation. Please continue to check your online Tesla Account for the most up to date and accurate delivery window but give them a few more weeks to finish there updates. Thank you!"

Well there goes that idea. Maybe someone happen to release a VIN and was somehow given to me. I got a 229 VIN and I am seeing people get VINs in the 300's. I am thinking mine wont have the mud flaps and rear PPF.
You have to buy mud flaps but certain dealerships are doing complimentary PPF, just call the location you bought it from and ask if they do it. I went and ordered after a test drive so maybe that’s why it could be complimentary. Might be different from someone who just ordered online.

Maybe looking to get exposure and distribution in different markets.

Was also told I’d get it quicker if i ordered white. It was free plus I wanted white on white anyways.

Tesla just called and said it arrived early Today and wants me to accept delivery tomorrow. Decided to do a pickup so I’m picking up tomorrow at 11am. Ordered 6/13, Got vin 7/14, delivery date was 7/25. now pushed up to 7/21 for pickup. Super excited! I’m assuming your delivery window turns into a 3 day period once your car arrives since that’s how long you have to accept delivery. because i had a 3 day window this morning then they just called me saying it was here. now my pickup date is showing and all i have to do is sign agreements.
How long of advance notice did Tesla give you for arranging pick up? I really hope it's more than 12 hours.

On another note, it's interesting to see a large number of deliveries this week! The last few weeks we seemed to have very few delivery appointments.

With all of these late June orders having EDDs in July and August, Im starting to expect that I am going to be like those folks on here with April and May orders watching people who ordered after them take delivery while their EDDs still show September/October.

June 6 Order showing Sept 9-29 EDD.

I had a day where, after talking to the SA who told me to expect August delivery, the EDD showed mid August. Now however its not looking so promising. At this point I have no idea what to expect.
I have the same build with a 6/11 order date. My SA is setting the same expectations. And I'm thinking the same thing you are.

I've stopped checking my account hourly, but I can't help looking after 8a, before lunch, after lunch, before dinner, and before going to bed. 😂

Just paid off my final balance! All that's left to do is pick up the car next Friday! Hope I don't die of anticipation before then... I feel like I did when I got my SEGA Dreamcast... wow.

FYI: I had to pay in full in advance because I live in Texas...

ugh 😩 I shouldn't have done the math was curious how many weeks its been since we ordered. This Saturday will be the end of week 11... My EDD isn't until week 20-21... I'm only half way, until they jump the date again...
I have the same order at you and mine says "October." Just stopped by our new local sales center and the guy there was really unhelpful. And I found out that they aren't going to be able to transfer my tags that I just renewed since I don't have any idea when my car will come in

Well when i got my vin 7/14 I called same day. My SA was able to see exactly when it was leaving Cali and going to reach the dealership so he just set my delivery to the day after it was supposed to reach him. He said it will first go to the hub in Chicago then if it made it in early he would call me. So that’s when he called today and i asked if I could get it today Lol but he said they have to detail and ppf and some other stuff so i’m getting it in the morning. But he gave me the option to pickup or have delivery when I wanted. But i can admit there was a sense of urgency for it to be sooner than later. Like he started off the call like “hey it’s here today is your schedule open we’d like to get it to you. are you free tomorrow?” and just the tone of his voice was basically saying come get this *sugar* asap Lol

Ugh, Just got the email that my financing expired... Just called the store and was just like give me anything, because we're planning to go to a wedding and I need to know. Plus we have to sell our only car which I might not do now because they gave me a soft date of the end of ****ing September. 8-12 weeks my ass more like 20- infinity!

Wait, of all the things that are legal in Nevada, a lottery isn't one of them?
Yeah it’s a bizarre one. Essentially:

“Lotteries were originally outlawed in the Nevada state constitution which was ratified in 1864. “No lottery may be authorized by this State, nor may lottery tickets be sold.” One small caveat to the prohibition on lotteries is a 1990 rule change that allows for charitable raffles to take place – A far cry from offering Powerball or MegaMillions.

They argue that a lottery would pull revenue away from resorts in Nevada that provide jobs to thousands and pay a substantial chunk of the state’s tax dollars. Essentially, they claim the money to pay for schools and other initiatives are already there. A lottery would only move tax dollars from one source (casinos) to another (the lottery) while creating few, if any, incremental revenue.”

Taking delivery on 7/22!
I ordered on 5/1, Configuration is a MY, 7 Seater, White Ext, Black Int, 19" wheels, no tow, now fsd.
FYI...I did not see a VIN until right when I received a Tesla Update text on 7/19. The text said it'll be delivered 7/22 between 9am-6pm. I did not get to choose the delivery date, they just assigned it. I don't have to be present for the delivery. Once the car is dropped off I have 24 hours to accept delivery electronically.
Location is Fresno, CA. The estimated date moved around every day, it was very unreliable and at the end was not accurate at all.
My exact car, but I ordered 4/21... my EDD has been on October for three days. We are practically the same distance away from Fremont, now its confirmed, they just don't like me. Congrats!
