What? I thought it just brings you to the current pricing. I haven't heard about $500 + current pricing + whatever you're changing.

Ask before you Change it. They didn’t tell me, and after I made the change, it was too late, she said there was nothing she can do about it. When you change anything on the order, they charge you an extra $500, because it becomes a gnu order, she even told me it won’t appear on the receipt thing the breakdown that they show you online, it just gets added to the amount that you have to pay.

Are you sure tbe price of the car just didnt increase between the time you ordered and made the change?

It most certainly restarts the clock and places you in the back of the queue.

This is flat out wrong. Any order changes (besides FSD) updates your order to current pricing. There is no $500 fee for changing an order.

You might want to ask, because I was charged $500 to change the order and she didn’t tell me, so when I asked about it, she tried to make up for her mistake, and it’s why they are giving me 10,000 charge miles, for the inconvenience but I still have to pay the extra $500. Just ask it’s not a big deal. I was even told by customer support, that I have to pay an extra $500 because I changed my order

also, for those of you with a July order, I would just get comfortable and settle in for the wait, and stop

I've started to ask myself "at which point will I give up waiting for this car?"... I feel like it would be at week 11/12 of my wait. Currently I am 2 days past the official 8 week point. While I obsess over things easily, I have a habit of forgetting or moving on to the next obsession pretty fast. So my own "thin red line" is feeling like around August 21st-28th I'm going to really start putting thought into other cars out there in order to "itch this scratch".

What you don’t realize when you order a Tesla is how much you’ll learn about yourself. I thought my tot was teaching me about patience but then I ordered a model Y and Tesla was like hold my beer

so I'm also Tyco VA and my front EDD date is also 8/17 - our OD's are pretty close too! can't wait for this waiting game to be over!

So you can see it’s not just me, there are many people that get charged $500, for any changes made on their order after you order it. I’m speaking from experience, a lot of people don’t notice it, because they don’t show it on the price breakdown, they literally just put it into your account and nobody talks about it. But it does happen, it is a fee, and it’s real.
