Congrats!!!WE HAVE A VIN!!!!! 247xxx. Current EDD October, but I am sure that will change soon View attachment 694342
Your idea worked! I just tried it with an actual USB-C to Lightning cable and it worked fine. Success!Congratulations!!!
Regarding the USB-C ports, have you checked them without an adapter, just using a normal USB-C to Lightning cable for iPhone or iPad? Potentially the adapter could be the issu
I've been thinking about this a lot, and since you've actually seen it done.....Think it's possible to DIY?And by this, I just mean it doesn't make sense they would offer a tow hitch as an option but not homelink. I've literally watched a homelink install on a Model 3 with my own two eyes and it's nothing.
I think this is the part that's the most frustrating to me. It's quite annoying to see someone who ordered an $85k performance with the rims and extras July 1 take delivery July 24 and I ordered a base model in May and we're about 3 months into wait time with no end in sight. Keep losing money on my trade in. Gotta redo my financing soon. Hell, my drivers license even expired while I was waiting and I've minimized my driving because I refuse to replace my brakes or get a tune up on my car just to trade it in if I randomly get a delivery date a week later. At least if they prioritized by month and said "we're building ALL the April orders and delivering them in July. We're building ALL the May orders and delivering them in August." that would be something.a little simplified, but yes. It seems like while Tesla is trying to handle the oldest orders first they're not prioritizing them over profits as we can see East coast april/ may orders still unfulfilled. If this was a true "queue" they'd push to take care of orders in the order they were placed but even Tesla admits that's not the case on their manage page for every MY order:
Delivery time frame is based on order date, profile submission, delivery location and vehicle configuration.
Read between the lines: order date is just part of their "algorithm".
I agree. It’s really frustrating to watch people with my exact same config get a VIN and delivery scheduled when they ordered, in some cases, a whole month after me. I just had to pay to renew they registration on my car. So frustrating.I think this is the part that's the most frustrating to me. Let's Go!....get our Model Y'sclass of 07'! thx for your service, GO HOKIES!
What SC are you taking delivery at?6/8 MYLR CO order. After seeing the october update and hitting the 62 day period I called an SA to switch me to cash instead of finance. He did mention it looks like September for my order. That'll be in line with the 9-13 weeks 8/10 to 9/7). Its been a painful wait.
I don't think so because I think the mobile tech that installed it on my Model 3 a couple years ago had to do something on Tesla's end to get it working.. he acted like it was a software thing they had to do on their end.I've been thinking about this a lot, and since you've actually seen it done.....Think it's possible to DIY?
Keep us updated! I picture you sitting out in the front yard watching for cars coming down the street.Received my VIN last Friday and email to schedule delivery appointment came through on Saturday. Only option I was given was 8/9 at 12:00am midnight, so I took it. Called the local showroom and was told midnight is the default (they just changed systems) but that my delivery was first on the schedule for Monday AM and to expect the car to be dropped off in my driveway between 10am and noon. Also received a text message confirming same timing yesterday.
And now here we are, past the delivery window with no car, no text/email updates, and an EDD on my dashboard that says 8/9-8/12. So frustrating, especially since I remitted payment yesterday assuming I'd have a car this morning
Sorry to hear that. My Tesla advisor told me that I can bring a cashier’s check to my delivery day, instead of ACH transfer. Having read your post, that’s what I will do!Received my VIN last Friday and email to schedule delivery appointment came through on Saturday. I asked my wife to change my Tesla account password and keep it to herself until I get an email or text with a real update from Tesla, so that I won’t obsessively check the EDD constantly. I feel peaceful now.I agree. It’s really frustrating to watch people with my exact same config get a VIN and delivery scheduled when they ordered, in some cases, a whole month after me. The equation is more than just location / region of country. Lots of variables that no one can communicate effectively.a little simplified, but yes. CSTARZZ -- what others are saying, and I largely agree with them, is that the price you pay is for the tech (software + all the cool battery engineering that others are still figuring out). In terms of build quality and interior, Audi, Bimmers etc are more luxurious than the Tesla. At least that's the way it seemed to me. But at this point like many others, I am willing to pay for the superiority of Tesla's technology.
I have been watching a lot of videos of Munro live. For an engineering nerd like me those videos are EV-porn! And I am blown away by how much weight reduction and concomitant increases in efficiency (MPGe) Tesla has achieved by integrating functions and reducing connections in both the plumbing and the circuitry. The octovalve is an example of that. Other EVs pale in comparison. But I do like the interior of the Mach E better. That doesn't mean I prefer the Mach E.
6/25 order date?!?!?! I'm going to lose it...WE HAVE A VIN!!!!! 247xxx. Current EDD October, but I am sure that will change soon
