Customer satisfaction surveys legit?

I've received two "Customer Satisfaction" type surveys in snail mail. One from some place called MaritzCX and the other from Strategic Vision.

Both are about the Model S I purchased recently.

The car is great and am happy to give it great reviews but I've not heard of either survey company.

Has anyone here dealt with either/both of them? Are they for real or are they phishing scams?

Search for Maritz (without the CX), be sure to uncheck all the boxes, and you'll find a number of results where folks have received this survey. Most are unhappy with the survey, but they appear to be a legit company (they just don't know anything about electric cars).

I just got the MaritzCX survey request last week for my TM3. I could only really find this thread when I looked it up (and which I consider thin). So, I’ll respond and say I started filling out the survey online to express my pleasure with my vehicle but it was WAY too long. I assume we just provide information this company can then turn around and sell or use for promotional purposes. Being entered into a sweepstakes is hardly enticing enough for the commitment required in my opinion...

I got one last week from JD Powers. Heard of them of course so filled it out online. Was pretty lengthy but powered through and finished it. Bought my M3 in February.

There are a handful of companies like this that send surveys based on new vehicle registration data. They're "legit", but third party and usually not initiated by the manufacturer.
