plug the vehicle into a charger to prevent normal range loss and to keep the Battery at an optimal temperature. Your vehicle is safe to stay plugged in for any length of time. When not in use, Model Y enters a sleep mode to conserve energy.
While I am sure you will get a lot of different responses to your question, my answer is no. You do not need to charge daily if you are only driving 10 miles per day.
What I do is (except before a long trip) is to charge to 90% and don't charge again until it is less than about 100 miles of range.
Assuming you have home charging, Tesla recommends ABC (always be charging- ie plug in). I don’t think it’s s big deal one way or the other. One thing is unless you have the LFP battery, don’t charge over 90% and then let it sit for days.
You did not mention if charging was inconvenient or not and that is a large factor in what should be done. Ten miles is about 3 kWh, so fast to restore on a charger. It is best to have it plugged in if there is no reason not to.Hello All,
I am a new owner of MYLR 7 seater and was looking for recommendations on charging. My roughly average daily commute is 10 miles (picking and dropping my son to day care) - Should i charge daily ?
Absolutely not, unless you want to lose battery range fasterHello All,

False. Smaller depth of discharge is better for slowing battery degradation.Absolutely not, unless you want to lose battery range faster

I should have mentioned that i have wall connector setup at home so charging is not a problem. It just doesn't feels right (notion coming from charging your phone even if it is 70% charged) to charge daily. You did not mention if charging was inconvenient or not and that is a large factor in what should be done.
