I ordered 12/31 at 11:30pm and just got assigned a 2023 vin. I am defintely going to pass on the vehicle. Will I be able to change my configuration without losing the $250 deposit?

Think you can initiate a hold…and hope that the VIN gets picked up before your two weeks end.

I did the same and I re-ordered on 12/31 and got 23 vin assigned on the same day. I called the advisor and put the order on hold till end of Jan. Where are you located?

I think the Cybertruck reservation credit is actually for orders placed before November 30th, 2023. That is what the Tesla advisor told me on the phone at one point. I am sure there is a chance he is misinformed but wanted to tell you so you can verify you will still get it. If you don't get the credit, that would make it easier for you to cancel if you have to until the 2023 VINs are exhausted and order when you are sure you will get a 2024 VIN.

You are right. I think the rep confused having a CT reserved before the launch event on 11/30 with actually placing an order for another Tesla before end of year. Sorry about the confusion. I looked it up myself afterwards.

I honestly don't know. You should call Tesla or stop by a Sales center if you are near one. I have a 2023 VIN that got assigned to me recently. I can't take delivery now because Tesla has yet to fund my return of my car and pay off my old loan. When I spoke to a rep, they told me I still have 1 hold I can use but they advised me to not put it on until the car is actually close to delivery. My EDD is 1/15 (yesterday) to 1/24. They haven't reached out to me to schedule it yet. When they do I will ask to put my order on hold because I actually don't want to carry two loans, I am hoping interest will drop .25 or something soon, and getting a 2024 VIN of course.

I would hope so! I have an Ultra Red tax edition on order and price has not changed.

Same for me.. I had ultra red thankfully $2,500. I have a feeling that they may reduce the price of X to 75k so that they people can choose interior stuff (3rd row, interior color, exterior color etc.)

The uncertain is msrp for non SG is above 80k so it won't qualify for tax credit, just like you get an inventory over 80k discount to less than 80k also not qualify. Will it base on the order date msrp?
