Given the increasing robo call nuisance, if I get a call I don't recognize I ignore it or hangup upon hearing call center noise in the background. They called back and I answered .... to my surprise it was my Tesla Delivery Specialist! The caller ID was just the location (Los Vegas, NV) and 725-XXX-XXXX.

The good news is they offered delivery before year end. (Cross posted on TM3OC)

Mod edit: remove phone number.

I'm sure I'll send my eventual call off to Jolly Roger Telephone Company. I never answer calls that don't show up in my personal contact list, but have Jolly Roger handle my voicemail with a "press 1 if you're a human" message. If a number calls 3 times without pressing 1, they then get sent off to a robot to waste their time.

Yea! I received a call from Tesla from a 725 area code number at 3:20pm. Unfortunately, I missed the call and wasn't able to call back right away. Tesla tried again at 5:49pm. I confirmed my order on 8 December.

Update - I was able to finally reach Tesla late this afternoon after about a dozen returned calls. No promises, but he said I may be able to pick up my Model 3 by the end of the year! I think he said in Santa Monica. VIN number is coming soon.

Note that the delivery specialists use phone calls, not e-mails. If you configured in November and haven't received a phone call, you may want to check to make sure that Tesla has your correct phone number and that you completed all of the reservation steps. I don't think they can use e-mail - maybe they are contracted out.

When did you confirm your order?

OK, so I need more info. Can you explain the entire communications between you and Tesla?

I imagine from what I have seen that you get an email inviting you to configure and you get a call confirming your order but a few more details would be great:

Do you get an email or a phone call inviting you to configure?
Do you get your place in line depending on when you configure or do they need to confirm your reservation with you before they put you in the production queue?
When they call you, do they leave a voicemail if you miss the call? Do they email you to let you know to call back?
When do they schedule the pickup and do you get to choose where you get your car delivered?

email to configure
configure online next day and make additional $2500 deposit. It then says 4 weeks to delivery. You also put in delivery zip.
upload docs online- current insurance info and drivers license
no call or info for weeks.
Vin# mysteriously appears 2 weeks later as you check online because someone on this forum says they got one.
You call them because you see vin#. They have Delivery coordinator from Vegas (725) call you back.
I am told I am scheduled for delivery in San Francisco. No estimate of date.
One week later I call her back for status. She calls back and leaves VM. I call her back and get "No estimate yet"
On exactly 4 weeks after I ordered I get a call and says ready for delivery. I can wait a couple of days to do SF or I can do next day at Fremont Delivery Hub. I take next day in Fremont.
Go to pickup car at scheduled time and they say still prepping and found a scratched chrome piece. Will take 45 minutes but can do walk through on another car. Big doors roll up from prep area and in rolls car.
Voila! I have a model 3:D

Not the smoothest process, but being in the first 10 customer deliveries I will bet things get better with practice.
