Here's a partial data dump from a new Refresh 75 recently charged to 100%. This proves there is no new electrochemistry that allows charging over 4.2v/cell.

Still needing the data from a fully charged 75kwH pack in order to either prove or disprove that Tesla is limiting the battery capacity by voltage.

Wilheldp is correct. Pack voltage of 100% loaded battery is 353 V.
Can't you accept the idea that the maximal charge capacity can be limited to 80% by software? You can set yourself how far the battery will be allowed to charge (most S 85 owners have this at 80-90% max). Would it be that difficult for Tesla to interpret your 100% setting as a real 80% ?
 
Question for you guys. This is all very interesting, but does it really do us S60 (75) owners any good unless Tesla officially sanctions charging to 100% all the time?

Because as I understand it, even if we are 100% correct, and let's say something did go wrong with your battery under warranty, if they looked at your logs and saw that you were charging to 100% all the time, they *could* refuse to honor the warranty, yes? And you would have to be ignoring the warnings the car would be giving you about it all along as well.

This is the sole reason I would not do it. I am pretty sure it is being top-limited, and that charging to "100%" would not hurt anything because it is actually 80%.... but I would not want to risk voiding my warranty.

At most I would probably charge it to 100% as often as I thought I could get away with, and just tell them I did lots of long road trips ;-)
