I recently took delivery of a leftover 2018 Model S100D demo with 650 miles, from existing inventory of a dealer about 400 miles away in a different state.
The virtual window sticker image on the Tesla website listed the features and pricing on the car as if it were ordered currently, not as it was originally ordered and priced (less the discount for being an older model year). BIG DIFFERENCE.
The only way I figured this out, and the exact features my car came with, was comparing with the actual window sticker inside the vehicle after delivery:
It was listed on the web with base price of $85,000 and AP for $3000 and cream interior for $1500 for total after discount of $83,000 including fees (with free delivery to my local dealer since <500 miles away).
However, the original window sticker, shows a base price of $96,500 with EAP for $5000 and cream premium interior for $3300 (plus sunroof, etc.) for a total of $109,500 including fees.
That just shows how prices have decreased over the past year or so and Tesla keeps their pricing on existing inventory dynamic.
Not only was my car priced $26,500 below original MSRP, but I got the "legacy" EAP I wanted but was not advertised as having.
The whole process is screwy, but worked out well for me.
Just FYI not to totally trust the features listed on virtual window sticker shown online when buying existing inventory.
