What a load of crap.

"Mary you led. You really did."

He flat out lies about who and what company are pushing forward EVs.

(hint, it's not GM, they sold like 30 total EVs last quarter)
So, here’s where you explain how “Mary, you led” translates to “Elon, you and your company suck” and how you’re not just buying into Elon’s ego-driven take on it.

Also... for sure she’s no Elon. May not be good at her job, for that matter. But the endless and enthusiastic attacks her with the undertones of “We all know she’s an idiot and fraud” here in the forum carry a pretty strong whiff of sexism. No one in the industry comes in for that tone the way she does, and there are plenty of real frauds and snake oil salesmen around.

In fairness, 30 evs was 2 quarters ago.

Last quarter they expanded deliveries massively, to 457.

Exactly the sort of leadership such folks as Gordon Johnson would bring up... I mean they scaled EV production 15x in just one quarter! Tesla isn't doing that!

15X . . . man, Tesla is toast! ;)

Explained in the post right above yours. Elon is not one to let a perceived slight go unanswered. It's a core component of "who he is". If you don't like it . . . well Elon doesn't give a flying F if anyone cares about it.

So what. That doesn’t mean he is right. His perception meter is out of whack.

If you don't it, don't invest in Tesla. Honestly, the guy is 50 years old. You WILL NOT change this about him.

And some of us view it as a positive. It takes grit like this to compete with the entrenched oil and auto companies, who will not play fair and will attack him at every turn.

Not pertinent. Warren and Sanders are NOT part of the administration.
And are not representative of the Demos. They are extreme outliers on the left wing, with views few in the party embrace. Notice they keep getting rejected in national primaries?
But they are quite handy for folks to point to and claim they are “mainstream.” More internet stuff that damages the cohesion of the nation. Gets Fox a payday, though.

Explains nothing. You asserted the administration was openly hostile to Elon and Tesla. They were not, as I noted.
You weren’t referring to Elon’s misguided perception of the administration. You said the administration did X.

OK, keep your head in the sand.

AT BEST Biden's administration is a classic "passive aggressive" . . . with constant undermining of the world-leader in EVs and renewable technology.

Question now comes down to . . . why are you defending this administration?

Possibly, but it's a key part of his psyche. The guy was heavily bullied as a child, and learned at an early age to stand up to bullies.

Basically, he's not going to back down from a perceived fight, agree with it or not.
I don't want him to back down from a fight I want him to use better weapons and tactics to win.

Nobody here is changing anything about Elon, but 50 years old doesn't mean anything. Look up the End of History Illusion - we don't stop changing, really at any age. When people are asked how much they will change in the coming decade, they underestimate drastically. And we should all be pretty happy about that!

Exactly. Elon comes off as a petulant man-child by responding to all these petty attacks on Twitter in-kind. Add in his vast wealth and now he looks like a spoiled brat when things don't go his way. And then he wonders why people keep on jumping on the bandwagon and calling him out?

It's a self-perpetuating cycle and one that has no positive outcome.

There are an endless stream of trolls on Twitter, you will not beat them.

If you are a $TSLA investor, you should be worried. Elon's antics will have real, long-term affects on the value of the company. There are more effective ways of responding, but bashing people, posting crap emojis, calling them names is not the way to do it. I also fully agree that it's never too late to change or gain additional perspective on life.

How much better would things be for EVERYONE if all this controversy simply went away, and we focused on just the GOOD, POSITIVE things that are happening?

Exactly. This whole circus is for Elon’s vanity.

Where is the original mission? In the trash can?

Tesla may be riding high now on it’s built up brand image and loyal fanboys, but nowadays, brand image can get affected at the drop of a hat. Social media makes information available to those same formerly adoring fans who will have second thoughts about his immature behavior.

Duke apparently doesn’t refer to Duke University. I’m not even faintly defending this administration, I pointed out how Biden is stuck in the deep past on all things automotive. That is Biden’s issue. Not hating Tesla. His staff have by all accounts been trying to get him to include Telsa in his mentions etc.
Your examples above? All you got is “snubbing.” Which means not mentioning. Tesla just isn’t on the old Corvette guy’s radar screen. Not mentioning someone is not faintly the same as attacking them. FSD is its own rabbit hole of problems and arguments. It may well need scrutiny, but again, that is a different discussion and not at all one I’m interested it.

Or maybe (just maybe) Elon sees the real danger of having one political party with an authoritarian streak having a near monopoly on our Legacy and Social Media platforms. Shutting down the other side of a debate by labeling it "hate speech" is dangerous and dividing our country like never before and puts at risk the rest of Tesla's mission for a sustainable green future.

Having virtually the entire Media complex label Hunter Biden's laptop a fraud and "Russian Disinformation" along with Twitter locking out one of the country's oldest newspaper institutions (NYPost) for reporting on a REAL STORY weeks before a close election is a big friggin' deal and we haven't come close to a reckoning regarding that level of corruption impacting our politics.

It's even a bigger deal considering we heard over the last 5+ years from Democrats and their sycophants in the Media and amplified by Twitter that the 2016 election was "stolen" because Putin ran some FB memes.

Not buying it.

So, then why not another party?

Why the party that has literally worked against Tesla and sustainability?

As for the left/right extreme discussion...66% of Republicans believe the 2020 election was "stolen." What is a comparable majoritarian position among the left?

Don't think I got an answer to this previously. Relevant now because Elon has declared he is a Republican on the basis that they are the "kinder" party. I didn't see Democrats plotting an insurrection. Elon is out of his element here making a complete fool of himself.

Just to clarify something that gets brought up a lot.

1. Elon Musk is committed to buy Twitter at 44 billion. There is no paying 1 billion to back out.

2. Nowhere in the agreement does it say anything about fake accounts being below a certain threshold. This is not a valid reason to hold up the sale.

This is the ever-popular “Elon is playing 3-D chess and everyone else is playing checkers” theory. No, his tweets on all this mean exactly what they say.
And Hunter Biden’s laptop, BTW, is completely unimportant whether the media covered it or not.
There is zero there showing any corruption tied to his father.
Hunter is a braying, addiction-addled jackass trading on the family name. So what?
