Enhanced Autopilot Back as 4k Option?

Reddit users are reporting the return of the Enhanced Autopilot option for $4k. Can anyone confirm this? I personally do not see the option when building a new MY, or in my account under "upgrade autopilot". But I also haven't accepted delivery or received a VIN.

According to the post, Enhanced Autopilot is advertised as including:
- Navigate on Autopilot
- Auto Lane Change
- Autopark
- Summon

Yep. It’s back on my 2019. Easy to check, open the app and touch upgrades. If it included the HW3 (i don’t believe it does), I would get it.

Yes! I see it as an upgrade option, too! Tempting! What happens if you choose that option and later decide to go to FSD? Any idea if it's just another $4k?

I’m wondering if this will make re-matching cars that are rejected/fall through a bit more difficult since now there are 3 options to consider (autopilot, enhanced, full). Can Tesla change this post-factory to better match a candidate that’s closer to the original delivery point?

It’s just an OTA update, so that shouldn’t be a problem. Also, it does not appear to be available for cars that haven’t been delivered yet, so in that case, it definitely won’t be a problem.

Interesting... I take delivery in just under 5 hours so I will inquire with advisor; this may be my first accessory because I am just not mentally ready to hand over city street navigation and stoplight/sign control to a vehicle but EAP for only ~$4k may be worth it.

I’m debating it as well. If you buy the upgrade after the original sale, you’re charged at the normal sales tax rate for your area. Buying it prior to delivery is a lower tax rate. (At least this is what I saw when experimenting for NC.)

wonder if FSD will go "on sale" like it has before, got 2017 HW 2.5 S with EAP for 5k, then 2k in 2019 for FSD (was as high as 5k). Tempted to apply this wishful thinking to my recently delivered model Y

This is exactly what I was curious about. Let’s see what battery day shows. If I don’t upgrade I may go for it.

I'm tempted but would have been more tempted by a performance-like upgrade for my LR.

Long term it would be cheaper for me to buy autopilot upgrade (now either EAP or FSD) after delivery because MSRP would be less for registration (for NV since registration is based on MSRP, it will be around ~$900/year). Plus if I understand correctly, I can just put it on Amex and get the points.

I can confirm. I noted the EAP feature last night and posted on Tesla.com forums and purchased EAP today. EAP to FSD costs $5k. WTH Elon?

Yep, makes perfect sense they'd break it up to make further price increases easier to swallow.
