Fast-lane right indicator on autopilot?

Someone help me settle an argument - specifically on autopilot, whenever I’m singing it’s praises I get two smart-arse responses;

1) yea, but what if you’re in the right hand one and indicate right - won’t you end up hitting th barrier? Or if there’s no barrier, you’ll end up in the oncoming traffic carriageway...

2) what if you try and indicate right when there’s a car present? You’ll crash!

mare wither of these things true? I’m guessing the car is smarter than the above, but I’m not keen on trying when I pick mine up, so hoping to clarify on here first!

well hopefully it is a disagreement and not an argument :D
1. It's smart enough to know not to move to the right because no lane is there.
2. It won't move into the lane until the car is out of the way.

and the same applies regardless if you are in the right or left lane.

Ha, yep just a “debate” on how useful FSD is in the real world... and how “intelligent” machine learning and AI is etc etc
