I'm on 17.8.16 on a early refresh ap1 and have been thru over 15 SC's in the past few days (on a trip) and have not had that occur. Always half to hit the button to open.

Maybe I'm crazy, or maybe it's muscle memory then... thanks.
I thought it was a genius idea. Car knows where I am and n seconds after parking opens the charge port.

With all the geotagged stuff Tesla does now, it seems like a reasonable enhancement - car notes that it is parked in a Supercharger stall and the driver opens the door, the car opens the charge port. I don't think there would ever be a case where you wouldn't want it open at that point...
However, I haven't seen any indications that Tesla is doing that yet. Maybe it'll show up in a future update.

At the Syosset charger, you press the button and half a dozen charge port doors pop open on cars parked nearby -- not at the SC stalls.

I think it happened to me last Friday , was talking to a friend and don't think I hit the botton either .

To test it....leave the stall some distance and then move back into it looking at the port as you open the door.

I don't think Teslas do any of this. If drivers are concerned that they're hallucinating it might be a good idea to prioritize that.

Can someone tell me if the newest version of the 17.... firmware for AP1 cars has the +5 mph over the speed limit back? I know they restored it in 2.52.22 but curious if it's still there in the newer firmware for AP1? I haven't updated for awhile because of this and wondered if it's back. Thanks!
I have 17.4.14 and the 5mph over is still permitted and not tied to the speed offset setting
Are you sure it's not tied to the speed offset? Have the exact same version and it's tied. I'm also in km/h... maybe related?? Hope not!

Yes it's limited to 85 mph. The reason the +5 wasn't working was that the offset was set to 0.

Some Superchargers, like Charlotte NC and Greenville SC, have been upgraded from physical pushbuttons to capacitive buttons and thus, could be very easy to trigger.
