Somewhat unrelated but the biggest value difference between 21 and 22 could be the proposed $7,500 Federal incentive if it gets passed in its current form

IF the Bill passes, this would go into effect January 1, 2022. One would have to purchase the car on or after that date.

Hey that that retroactive stuff is old. The latest draft states when the vehicle goes into service - not your order date but when you actual buy and take ownership of the vehicle.

Personally I’m optimistic some version with EV incentives will pass but the final language, who knows.

You won’t see any “NF” VINs until October itself rolls around 99% likely. Hoping to post one up soon as my delivery date is mid October and no VIN yet. I’ll update.

Same my delivery date range is Oct 2-22 so may be a 2022 vin when it is assigned to me, but don't care if I get 2021 or 2022. Need the model y now.
